Introduction-mom to new baby born at 35 week + 2days

After reading posts from you ladies. I commend each and every one of you. I gave birth to my daughter at 35weeks + 2 days. She was 6lbs at birth and was on oxygen and iv fluids. She has come do far in 5 days and is able to be in out room with us full time. I'm having a hard time with the doctors. At our hospital they turn over pediatricians every 24 hours. So needless to say we are told different "opinions" and things they need or want to see in order for her to go home. Currently we are only waiting on weight gains. I pray that all of you get through this and can bring your babies home soon!

    Congrats on your baby girl! I had a 35 weeker too. I'm praying your daughter comes home soon!

    @Blpl101 how long did it take your baby to come home and if you don't mind me asking what hurdles did you guys have to over come?

    She wasn't in the NICU, just small at 5 lb 3 oz. Her biggest issue was breastfeeding (she wouldn't latch) and reflux. She never learned so I've been exclusively pumping for over a year. A lot of moms end up breastfeeding without any issues though. She 14 months now and doing great. Hit all her milestones on time. Late term preemies usually do well!

    Hello. Am mom of a 35w 2d baby as well. She was born at 4.8lbs. She came home with us on day 5 after spending 3 days in NICU. Did not need oxygen or IV fluids. I allowed formula for Day 1 as I wanted to make sure she was strong enough to feed (my milk came in on day 3). She had a suspected seizure on Day 1 which is why they kept her till day 3 under observation. The neo finally concluded that she had reflux and that's what caused her to drop her sats. Hope your baby is home with you soon. We came home as soon as she gained weight for two days straight.
