  • I was thinking about a coloring book, some crayons, maybe a board book or two and a play drill.  And a chocolate cross to eat.

  • We're going to be at the beach for Easter. Besides reassuring DD1 that the Easter Bunny will know where she is I got nothing yet. Probably nothing too big because I'll have to hide it in our luggage.

  • I had not thought about this yet but I love the gardening set/sandbox toys idea, DD will love that.   There will be some chocolate and maybe one other small item but that will be it.

  • I haven't gotten much yet. So far all I have is a coloring book and Roseart sidewalk Paint. I figured since she loved coloring this paint could be fun come summer.

So far I have one of the small Dr. Seuss board books. I was thinking of getting her some play-doh and plastic cookie cutters. No candy...I'm *that* mom.

ETA... maybe some sidewalk chalk. That sounds fun :)
  • Books, outside toys, maybe a coloring book though that idea had not occurred to me before.

  • Growing up my Easter baskets were always candy, chocolate and more candy. It's never occurred to me until now that there could be other things in there!

  • @SJandVA which beach?

Not close to home. ;) My parents are in Jacksonville for a few months. So we thought it was a good excuse to take a road trip.

  • I haven't let my two play with play doh yet- have you all been successful with it? I'd be afraid they would eat it and spread it all around.

I just let DD have it in her high chair and while supervised. She tried to put it in her mouth a couple times, but nothing too bad. She enjoyed squishing it and cutting circles it with DH's biscuit cutters, then putting the circles back in the holes.

  • Ok! Because mine will munch on crayons if I turn my back :)
  • I was going to say nothing. Then I remembered that SIL made DD an Easter basket last year and now has a kid, so I should make baskets for both kids. I'm sure she will do the same. We also do an Easter dinner with DH's family and a fun chocolate egg hunt around their house. That will be fun for DD this year! Maybe I can talk DH into going to his family's church.
