Time change

With the time change coming tonight, how do you go about keeping LO on the same schedule? I like when he goes to bed and gets up so should I just get him up at the normal(new) wake up time and put him down at the new time for bed even though it's an hour earlier? I may be overthinking this, but one day I put him to bed early when he didn't nap well and woke up from his last nap early and it was a total disaster so I wasn't sure if I should gradually move him to the new time.

Re: Time change

  • It will be an interesting couple of days I'm sure! I had forgotten about the time change so thanks for the reminder!

I may try and put LO to bed a little later (like 30 mins) tonight and then 30 mins early tomorrow and back on time on Monday. I'm laughing at my own naivety in thinking this will work but I guess it's worth a shot!

  • When we went to WI we were an hour time difference & DS still went to bed & woke up at the same times on his own. I think he has an internal clock.
  • Lo is all turned around this week anyways #nocare
  • We just followed our schedule as normal with DD, regardless of the time change and didn't really notice any differences.  A couple times she would be up sooner, but that wasn't until she was older.  We'll do the same with DS and hope for the best.

    I've probably just jinxed myself.

  • We just got back from FL and was basically on what the time change will now be here so I think we should be good. I never have a set go to bed or wake up time. It's whenever he falls asleep which is normally during his last feeding and whenever he decided to get up. Unless its before 630 and then DH pulls him into bed with us for another hour or so because that's just too early for us:). On a good day he goes to sleep by 11 and wakes up at 730.
  • Hate losing an hour! I'm thinking I will just try keeping it the same time. I usually put her to bed sometime between 9:00-10:00 anyway, it's not like it's always the exact same time; I go by whenever she needs to eat. Although I was trying to push it closer towards 9:00 recently...
