So I was looking at M's toys. The majority of them are light up, electronic numbers that sing and talk and all that jazz.
And I decided I missed the old toys. The wind ups. The wood. The simple ones without all the bells and whistles.
I'm in a mission today to find some old school toys for M. Lead based paint and all (j/k). In today's world he will have forever to play with gadgets and light up stuff.
What do you prefer? New style or Old style toys?
Re: Old school V New school
I also can't wait until she's crawling and I can set her up with her own cabinet in the kitchen. I LOVED getting all the stacking bowls and wooden spoons out when I was little.
Not everything had to glitter , light up, play music & blink. I think old school toys leave more opportunity for imagination.

LO does have some toys that are made of plastic and/or require batteries. All his new school toys have been gifts.
Hell, I bought him a coin sorter the other day bc I knew he'd love it. I was right - hours of entertainment.
adorable LO playing with it!
We bought the old-school record player for LO for Christmas. Can't wait until he can actually use it. Check it out: https://www.fisher-price.com/fp.aspx?st=900000&e=storethumb&pcat=fps_infant_classictoys
