  • No the other one is for baby shower food ideas this one is for recipes for meals at home
  • Any protein with veggies is a good bet. Grill/bake a protein and make 2 types of veggies. It will help with variety. Google and Pinterest are your friends :)

Its still the same question. Two threads were not necessary.

    Agreed! Wtf?
  • Although the whole two threads/same question thing is not necessary I would like to add a bit of info since I had GD with my 1st. You can (should) eat a certain amount of carbs per meal, you need them. I believe the suggested amount is 15-20g per snack and 45g per meal. If you haven't already been signed up for one, your OB office will have you take a GD class.

This. No carbs is not the aim. Stable and steady carbs is the aim.

  • I agree with PPs that you do need carbs.  I had GD with my first two and I have it again this time around.  I find that eating meals that are high in protein and fiber work well for me.  I mostly eat veggies and lean meats/eggs.  When I have carbs I find that the Fiber One breads and wraps don't make my sugars sky-rocket.  Rice and pasta I can't have at all though :(  Salads with nuts, cheese, meat, eggs, etc. (not all at once though!) are good, too.  Good luck!
