Gift for a 2 year old

I just realized that I have my 2 yr old nephew's birthday party next Saturday and I have no idea what to get him. Do any of you BTDT moms know what 2 yr old boys are into these days? Everything I can think of is too babyish too old.

    I wouldnt do thomas. DS1 loves trains but has no clue who Thomas is. I acttually hate most cartoon character stuff so dont introduce them to him. Cars, trains, duplos, construction trucks, books , puzzles. DS1 got a magnadoodle for his 2nd bday and he loves it

    Melissa & Doug has some really near toddler gifts. Other than puzzles they have some cute gifts like a monster bowling set. My DS loves any of his Megabloks stuff. They have a wagon & some dump truck sets that DS loves. Bath toys and ball sets are also a hit. We also have a mangadoodle as well that he loves.
