Hudson Thomas Birth Story: March 2nd

A little late but finally have some feeding time to update. I started having contractions at 2am march 2nd with light back pain. Around 4am I started counting because they had turned into cramping and by 6am I was yelling at dh to get everything in the car.
I had a false alarm the weekend before and knew with the difference in pain, he was coming. We got to hospital by 6:30am and had hit every freaking red light on the way. I was in pain and pissed.
Got admitted and was bummed to hear I was still at 2cm when I checked. They gave me pain meds and said they wanted me to be 4cm before getting an epidural. Well I was a 5.5cm the next time they checked and my water had broken naturally. I dilated to 10cm in 4hrs which none of us expected. I started pushing at 12pm and he arrived at 12:54pm at 8lbs 13ozs and 21 inches. I have a 3rd degree tear but am doing well with it.
Hudson had jaundice so we had home health at our house Tuesday, Wed, and thurs with portable photo therapy beds. It has cleared up and he is eating and pooping like a champ at 6 days old!!
