*raises hand* I have my every day pair of black flats, some tennis shoes for work, some boots for winter, and a replacement pair of black flats for when mine are worn to the bone. I have humongous feet...When I find a pair of shoes I like, I stick with it
I changed industries a few years back and now have maybe even 20 pairs of heels that are no longer appropriate. And most probably no longer fit anyway, post-pregnancy and all.
I have four pairs of shoes. I have terribly awkwardly sized feet. I had perfectly normal size 8.5 feet prior to being pregnant. Those puppies are 11 WW now. I hate shoe shopping.
I have shoes for many different purposes. I've got light hiking boots and backpacking boots and I've got Crocs for camp shoes. I've got running shoes and trail running shoes with gortex for when it's wet (that Seattle thing). I've got non-hiking winter boots and "nice" (but not dress) shoes. I've got sandals (Keens) and flip flops for the warmer weather. And I've got FiveFingers (those silly toe shoes) for running and general wear (three pair, one that's suitable for the wet). I've got more dress shoes than I should, because I have all the dress shoes I've ever gotten in the past 15 years and they never fit well, but I don't wear them, so I should really just get rid of them.
I would have so many more if my feet weren't wide. I tend to wear the same ones all the time. I finally had to donate my ballet flats because they were beat up. I should have thrown them out. I did get some cute tall boots with a kitten heel. Thanks, mom!
I also donated my grandma shoes that were comfy. An 8th grader told me they look like funeral shoes. I don't know why I still had them.
I wear a 10.5-- such an off size that I can't share with almost anyone. I can sometimes wear big 10s or small 11s but it depends. I tell myself that I have buy my size when I see it because it's so rare but similar to my attitude about buying my son shoes, it's just something I tell myself to make it seem like I don't have an obvious shoe buying problem.
