Party on Father's Day weekend?

So, the trip we're planning will be the week of Q's birthday.  We expect to drive back on Friday and I just don't see myself willing or able to pull off even a small party either the weekend before or the weekend after.  So I'm thinking of doing it the Saturday of Father's Day.  That shouldn't be an issue for people, should it?

    That's when we are doing ours. We have a June 15th b-day so we are doing it the 14th.

    LOL I haven't started planning it yet but while planning the vacation I realized that we'd need to fit in a party around that same time.  DS1's birthday is always around Mother's Day so I'm used to needing to be mindful of not stepping on people's plans :)

    In my circle competition for dates in June is getting cutthroat. Half of June is already booked up, which I think is ridiculous but if I want her birthday this side of labour day I have to get my ass in gear.
    I know what you mean!  From April to June is insane with our friends!

    I think Saturday is fine. It's only a couple hours of peoples time and if they have epic Father's Day plans that would prevent them from coming, well...sucks for them

    We're doing C's on that day - he was born on Father's Day last year. I can't see it being a problem!
