birth control while breastfeeding

I'm mobile and tried using the search function but didn't get anything. If there is a thread I missed on this, please post the link. Thank you.

I am BF and will be going back to work when LO is 11 weeks old. I plan on only giving him BM until 6 months. I'll be pumping while at work and nursing at night. We are done having kids. What is the best form of BC?

I had a Mirena after DS1 and it went through the uterine wall and , I am horrible at remembering to take the pill every day.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you

    We have been using condoms until I am done BF.

    If you are done having kids, would your husband consider a vasectomy?

    I used implanon/nexplanon after ds1 and loved it. No affect on supply and I never got my period until it was removed.

    Tubal? if you are serious about being done
    Vasectomy? if you both are serious about being done
    Nexplanon -more effective than a tubal and lasts 3 yrs
    mini pill - good but less effective than combo so when you wean swtich
    nuvaring - combo so could lower supply
    ortho evra - patch combo so could lower supply

    don't you hate such decisions?  I'm lazy and have used the minipill after both girls and kind of using it now, when I remember.
    5/08- blighted ovum, spont ab; 2/20/09- epi, VAVD, Girl! breastfed 24mo; 10/10- blighted ovum, spon ab; 12/10- no fetal pole, Cytotec; 11/20/11- unmedicated SVD, Girl! breastfed 18mo; 11/7/13- unmedicated SVD, breastfed 18mo; 2/11/16- unmedicated SVD, exclusively pumping to at least a year.
