Phew it's been a crazy few days and I haven't been able to update! Who knew having a newborn and a five year old was so time consuming?

So we headed in to the hospital Sunday night with contractions 2-3 minutes apart and I was 2 cm. They did an NST and checked me again and since I made no progress they sent me home. A few hours later I was back with more intense contractions but still at 2. They gave me morphine to sleep and like with DD it made my contractions go away. We headed home Monday morning and nothing was going on. Contractions were basically gone and I was so upset. A few hours later I had these awful pains that I honestly thought were gas and took Gas X and tried to nap. They were getting worse and worse but weren't super close together, maybe 7 minutes apart. I called the doctor crying and he told me to come back in. I was terrified that I'd still be at a 2 and get sent home again. I was at 4-5 cm and was finally admitted Monday night 3/3 at about 8 pm. From there things got fast and furious. The contractions were still only about 5 minutes apart but they were LONG and super painful. I was at 6 cm when I got my epidural at about 10pm. I was in transition at about 11 and it was amazing, I could see the contractions were coming back to back on the monitor but I felt no pain, only some pressure. The nurse told me she'd come in at about 2 or 2:30 to do the catheter. Well before midnight I felt a ton of pressure with each contraction. At about 12pm I was 10cm and she said she'd let me labor down for a while. Well soon after I felt the urge to push and she came in and told me to do some practice pushes. Well on the second one his head started crowning and she yelled at DH to push the red button and she started yelling for the other nurse. I pushed about five times and Elijah came out at 12:31 am on 3/4 and I was immediately in love. I tore pretty badly but my recovery has been amazing. We did skin to skin and nursed for a good two hours before they took him to be weighed and measured. He was 8 lbs 4 oz. and 21 inches long.
