upper back pain

I attribute my upper back pain to significant boob growth and poor fitting bra. My OB agrees. I asked if she could recommend a chiropractor and she suggested trying a prenatal massage first. So I have one scheduled for next Wednesday but its really sore now and Im having trouble cracking it by myself (which gives me some temporary relief.) Any suggestions? She told me DH could crack it but it doesnt always hurt when hes home of course

  • I bought new bras toward the beginning of pregnancy but i out grew them.... le sigh. I need to go again. This shit is ridiculous. I better be able to feed an army. If I have supply issues ill know someone is secretly against me.

And thanks for the tip ill give cat pose a try :-)
  • Get a tennis ball & use it to rub your back by standing against a wall.
I had a prenatal massage last weekend & it was amazing!
  • My OB just recommended ThermaCare heating pads bc I was asking him about back pain. Hoping to use one tonight for a bit. You aren't supposed to wear them to sleep. But they last like 6-8 hours during the day.

  • My aunt just told me 'you take after me. I was size F before i was done!' FML.
  • I really would advise you not to have your husband "crack" you. He could do a lot more harm than good.

You can call around to chiropractors in the area and see who treat pregnant women and don't over adjust (3x/wk for 2-4wks ... very unnecessary). Check for holistic ones and "head to toe" ones.

  • I've been having all over back pain. It does help to crack my back, but it's hard when it's in the upper back. I plan on asking my doc for a referral to a chiropractor when I see him next.

  • I use a foam roller to massage some kinks out of my upper back. I find it less intense than the tennis balls and I always feel better after.
However, im off to see my Chiro this morning because there's one spot that I'm just not getting any relief from.
