Baby monitor suggestions

Hi everyone!

I'm getting ready to register (EDD 7/15) and am confused as to what baby monitors are best ? I'd like one with a video to see my little guy but there's just so many to choose from- any suggestions from experience?

    I'm a FTM so I can't vouch for it yet, but this is the one we registered for.  My husband was a gem and researched all of our registry items using Consumer reports, Amazon reviews and the Baby Bargains book.  Out of all the things we're registering for, this was the item he was passionate about.

    Me-41, Hubby-40.
    1st BFP-8/17/12!  Missed Miscarriage discovered @ 8 week US.  D&C.
    2nd BFP-2/13/13!  Blighted Ovum discovered @ 8 week US. Natural miscarriage.
    3rd BFP-5/22/13!  By early June, progesterone plummeting.  Another loss.
    August 2013 - started Donor Egg process, but surprise BFP with my own eggs.

    We have the motorola video monitor and oh my God, do I love that thing. It's not cheap, but for me, it's worth every penny for the clear picture and great sound and range. They have two screen sizes... we have the larger of the two. I highly recommend it!

Peanut born March 2012; BFP: 7/31/2013!; blighted ovum at 7 weeks 8/26/2013. Holy Cannoli! BFP 2/23/2014. EDD 11/6/2014!

    We have the motorola video monitor too and it's going strong almost 2 years later. We use it constantly; the only problem we've had with it is the cord came loose at one end so we had to duct tape it.
