Funneling at 26 weeks

I was not expecting to hear this today. My cervix was 3.6 two weeks ago, and the MFM said he wasn't concerned with checking my cervix any longer. Today, my regular OB said he was going to check, so we did. My cervix is down to 2.3 and it's funneling. Steroid shots begin in 2 weeks, and I am now on bed rest. My OB is even more concerned about me delivering before 34 weeks. He said our goal now is to make it another 7 1/2 weeks. I thought I had a good 10+ left. 

Anyone in the same boat? When did you deliver?

    Iam!! I completely feel for you. I will be 29 weeks this weekend, and at 27 weeks my cervix shortened to a 2.2. I received steroid shots the next day. Fast forward to this week. On Wenesday I went to labor and delivery because of strong contractions and was told I was contracting every 2-5 minutes. I was admitted and given a shot of turbutaline. I responded well and so I got to come home yesterday. Am now on procardia and strict bedrest. My goal is 34 weeks, but of course I am a complete wreck over this. Bedrest is so hard. I feel for you and will keep you in my prayers....you can do this!!

    I don't have any experience, but want to offer hugs and prayers!!
    Me: 37 DH: 40 TTC since 9/09
    #1 BFP 1/10/11; missed m/c discovered 7w5d
    IF Dx: Endo, hetero MTHFR mutation, poor morphology
    #1 IUI: 1/18/12 = BFN
    #1 IVF/ICSI 4/2/12 = 2 x 7-cell and 1 x 5-cell transferred (3dt) = BFP!!
    H was born at 41w2d on 12/29/12 - be still my heart!
    #2 IVF/ICSI 1/19/14 = 2 x 8 cells transferred (3dt) = BFP!! EDD 10/09/14
    M&W born at 37 weeks on 9/18/14 - I am the momma of 3 boys!!!

    No experience..but I think all of us can relate to the worry we will pull that card out of the deck...I am worried about my cervix check next week...

    my cervix started to funnel at around 21 weeks, and i had a cerclage put in and was immediately put on bedrest.  i made it to 35 weeks and one day.  praying that those babies stay in for 7+ weeks!

    My cervix was .6 at 21 weeks. I went on hospital bedrest and then gave birth at 30w2d.  I had two rounds of steroids and my babies were as healthy as 30 weekers could be. Bed rest can definitely work, as difficult as it is to stay in bed for months at a time.
