Welcome to the PgAL July 2014 Check-In!

This is for ladies who are pregnant after a loss and due in the month of July. Get comfy ladies! I hope we are all here for a nice long time!

Since soon everyone will be finding out what they are having (unless you are team green) I decided to add a new question so that I can update our list!

I am also going to be cleaning house soon, if you haven't replied in the last month I will taking you off the check-in. You can always ask to join later if I removed you in error.

21 weeks, 2 days/ Pomegranate

Doing pretty good this week, just a little heartburn.

How is PGAL brain treating you? Any T&P requests?

Good after a perfect A/S on Tuesday. I think we are even going to pain the nursery this weekend.

Nothing for a month

Yes he is going to have one. We will paint this weekend, neutral beige color. The bedding is a navy and red plaid from PBK. There will a slight airplane theme to the room but nothing crazy.

I have 2. First DH finally got to see LO at out a/s. Everything looks great and because my blood pressure and baby's development look good, I no longer have to see the perinatologist 1/month! Most likely those visit will start up again closer the due date.

Second, my SIL is expecting! I am so happy for her and my brother. I am also excited that this LO will have a cousin in the USA that is the same age

Least favorite moment of the week?

Totally NPR, however I had a peridontal scaling done on Tuesday and the local anesthetic didn't seem to take too well, so my gums felt more than I wanted to during the cleaning

We just moved at the end of January and decided to cram everything into the future nursery. So we at least have the room painted. I know it will be an under the sea/ocean theme. However, I need to get the rest of the house organized first.

OMG, the gas. I can't eat anything healthy without getting terrible gas pain. I might be exaggerating a bit, but beans and raw veggies are out if I don't want to end up in paralyzed with pain on the couch all night. Yikes!

How is PGAL brain treating you? Any T&P requests? Pretty good. I am feeling the baby move pretty regularly and am big time ready for my A/S on Monday so we can start picking a name and working on the nursery!

Any upcoming appointments or milestones you're looking forward to?

A/S Monday at 10:15. You better believe I'll be making a SS AW post about it :-)

Favorite moment of the week?

Having a big boy day with my son yesterday and watching a HS basketball game with both kids & my DH last night

Least favorite moment of the week?

Finding out I didn't get a job I was hoping for and having some unfortunate conference calls

Yes, we'll have a nursery. Even if we are lucky enough to move before this LO arrives, hopefully we'll get a place with at least 3 bedrooms. I'll probably start planning and picking things out Monday afternoon.

@slensic - Thanks for asking! It is really weird! I love being home to cook and keep the house clean and relax, and I definitely do not miss the work environment I was in. But I still feel weird now that everything is on my husband, but that's why I am doing as much as I can to have great dinners on the table and keep the house spotless. I have also started helping with my grandfather that is not able to drive anymore, which is a nice break from the house.

How are your symptoms? Getting better? Worse? Any new ones?Every day is better. Today I really had a lot of energy at the gym, but my uterus felt weird and crampy when I was off the elliptical, which made me a bit nervous. But I have felt him throughout the day, so I am trying not to worry.
How is PGAL brain treating you? Any T&P requests?
Every appointment has been great, he is a really happy and healthy, and VERY squirmy little man! I think I will always be a little nervous until he is here, but every day gets better. Honestly, my only T&P is for everyone on this journey to have safe deliveries and good results, because we deserve it!Any upcoming appointments or milestones you're looking forward to?Nope, no appointments until a routine checkup at 23 weeks.
Favorite moment of the week?Seeing my little boy suck his thumb, and swallow and open his mouth on the ultrasound. It looked like he was trying to talk to us!

Least favorite moment of the week?I've had a little insomnia lately, where I am wide awake at 4am, so I get up and surf the web. Then I crawl back in bed at 6:30 when my husband gets up to shower and I feel really guilty!

Do have any decorating plans picked out yet and when are you going to start on it?We just ordered our crib and dresser, and I have some paint samples I need to slap on the wall. Then we will pick curtains and rugs and I think it will really start coming together. It will be a very gray theme with pops of orange or blue

(PS, even though I love my Denver Broncos, I just happen to like those colors. It will NOT be orange and blue together, yikes!)

Headaches aren't as frequent... The doctor suggested I drink more caffeine... Which was exciting since I thought I had to stay away from it!

Going good... I had my A/S today and everything looked great which was a huge sigh of relief!

Nothing for another 4 weeks

Favorite moment of the week?
Getting to see my beautiful baby girl today was amazing. She was so active and doing cute things with her hands. I am overjoyed right now!

Least favorite moment of the week?
Over the weekend I decided to try and skip the B-6 and unisom to see if I was still feeling nauseous... Turns out I still need it for a while longer. I was sick all day Sunday.

We have paint colors picked out and furniture bought. The colors are going to be a pale pink, navy blue, grey and white. We will probably start in the next month or so, after my first baby shower.

Good! Our A/S went very well and b/w showed no concerns of neural tube defects so I am feeling good.

My daughter and fiance have both been able to feel the baby moving! My son has not had a chance yet, but he keeps trying. Kicks are becoming kicks now -- not just wiggling.

Feeling really stressed over a job deadline.

We are keeping things simple. We just want to get the basics. The hope is that we will be moving to a bigger place, so things are just in limbo right now. Luckily I'm not feeling nesty yet.

Morning sickness must have missed me and came back for a raging visit last week. Either that or I had a stomach bug...

Had a beautiful anatomy scan on Tuesday and feeling lots of kicks (especially after Mommy eats), so PgAL brain is pretty calm at the moment!

Any upcoming appointments or milestones you're looking forward to?

Monday will be half baked! We are also planning on starting our registry this weekend!

Favorite moment of the week?

Seeing our adorable little nugget again. He or she is so darn cute, rolling around, sucking his or her thumb, I can't believe we really have a whole person in there!!

Least favorite moment of the week?

Probably having to reschedule my anatomy scan a week ago because I was so sick. That or begging DH to go get Gatorade so that at least I would have something to throw up.

We have the room identified and I have lots of ideas for decorating - my pinterest board is out of control. I want the room to have a sweet vintage feel. The walls will be yellow with one accent wall having gray stripes. I have a dresser from my great grandfather which will also be the changing table. I also want to bring in some pops of turquoise for an accent color.

So yeah, I've given it some thought! We will probably get started on it in April.

Symptoms good. Not much of anything this week. Oh, except the HIVES! Damn pregnancy + stress = HIVES for this momma to be!

I haven't felt much movement the last week except on the sides. I blame my anterior placenta, but the bumper that lost her baby this week kinda reminds me/us all that it's still possible.

Any upcoming appointments or milestones you're looking forward to?
I have another sono next week to reeval my anterior placenta. Still hard to resist the urge to ask the sono tech to not take a sllloooowwwww scan around the genitals to get my guesses solidified. Oh well, go team green!

Favorite moment of the week?
When my mom told me that my stepdad said I was showing.

Least favorite moment of the week?
HIVES!

Just heartburn. And it's after eating the dumbest things.

Great! My a/s eased all of my fears. Seeing that baby girl moving around and learning that she is healthy has made everything allllll better.

Really feeling this girl kick. I know she's doing it, it's just this anterior placenta thing that's keeping me from feeling it.

This blasted snow storm! I'm over it already!

Sorry I didn't post last week. Meant to but got stupid busy.

20 weeks today, eek! Two bananas! Can't believe I'm half-baked! Well, more I guess since they'll be here sooner hehe...

How are your symptoms? Getting better? Worse? Any new ones?

Better overall. Getting over this nasty cold still so it's hard to tell how I'm really feeling. Had nasty cramp-like feelings all over my belly yesterday and lots of vaginal pressure, but it went away overnight. Still freaked me out!

How is PGAL brain treating you? Any T&P requests?

Ugh been bad. Not feeling the babies too much so I get freaked out. I also get bad cramps off and on and lots of vaginal pressure off and on daily so I get anxious. As I near closer to my loss milestone I get more and more anxious, and as we get our nanny and things in order for them I freak out more, like what if they don't come home?

Nothing coming up next week. But every week I'm still here is great!

Hmm, getting somewhere with the nanny hunt and hitting the halfway mark!

Least favorite moment of the week?

Having my anxiety creep back in. It's been hard.

We don't really decorate. My girlfriend is an artist though so she was thinking of just doing some clouds or something. We didn't do a theme for DD's room, but the twins' room will turn into the boy's room anyways (the girl and DD will share eventually) and DD's moving into a new room, so she could decorate both rooms maybe and have it be fun!

@slensic thanks for asking, my midwife told me the results came back great for both the ultrasound and blood work. Baby is on track with all his measurements and his due date is still the 4th of July.

23 weeks today! Grapefruit.

How are your symptoms? Getting better? Worse? Any new ones?
Breathing is still the same, hard to catch my breath. I've been itchy in my legs and arms and since I scratch I've been opening my skin, is that hives?

More relaxed.

Getting to the week third trimester starts. 26?

Feeling my baby move everyday now. Boy, has he surprised me with some of his kicks lol.

The itchy skin and stressing out about moving this month...still havent found a place yet and my husband leaves for underway next week for 5 weeks.

Unfortunately I won't be having one. I so wish we can just buy our own home so I can nest away. Since this is not case and not a big deal, I'm looking forward to getting my baby's things organized once we move out and buy the crib and all that fun stuff...baby will be sleeping in our room.

His nursery will be his room for life. I'll help him update it as he gets older. You know take out the cutsie stuff for the boyish stuff as he gets older. As of plans for decor, we're going for a jungle/ safari theme just cute animals Neutral tones etc. easier to change out as he gets older.

Zofran Pump has been off for two days. If I make it one more day it is adios for the rest of the pregnancy!!!

Doctor scanned me in the office. Baby boy is measuring ahead...Doctor said he has a big belly and a very big nose.

Least favorite moment of the week?

Being told baby boy has a large nose.
