GTKY; Hair products

Just because I'm bored and because I want to know which hair products everyone uses.

What is your hair type; curly, straight, wavy?

Which shampoo do you use?

Which hair conditioner do you use?

Which other hair products do you use?

  • What is your hair type; curly, straight, wavy? Wavy, frizzy hair.

Which shampoo do you use? Nexxus Humectress Therappee shampoo

Which hair conditioner do you use? Nexxus Humectress Conditioner

Which other hair products do you use? Argan oil and Bed Head After Party.

    I have thick frizzy hair and I have to use a lot of products otherwise my hair would look like this;

  • My hair is very curly. I used to use pantene sham/cond and their curl gel -- I'd wash maybe 3 times a week because day 1 hair looks like crap. It worked great.

Buuuuut then I got on board with no-poo. So for a little while I did baking soda wash/apple cider vinegar rinse. But my hair got really frizzy. It was bad. And then I read about water only washing. So that's what I do now and my hair looks surprisingly great. I seriously can't believe how not frizzy it is. Plus, it actually has better body than before. I'm kind of curious if I'll ever go back to sham/cond/gel.

  • I have very wavy hair, but it's fine so it straightens easily. It's a bit past my shoulders right now.

I use Sally hershberger's keratin shampoo an conditioner.

When I blow my hair out , I just use a little bit of Moroccan oil on the ends.

When I wear it "curly" I use Paul
Mitchell curl cream and let it air dry.

  • Mine is wavy curly when long. I use John Fredia radiant red shampoo and conditioner. I have natural red hair but i feel like it brightens the color.

I use Moroccan oil, bed head, and treseme heat protector spray.
  • My hair care is so boring. I have very straight hair. I wash it with Dr Bronner rose soap and I let it air dry. The only other thing I put through my hair is a brush. I keep it up in a bun always because I hate it touching my neck, but I keep it long.

  • It's mostly straight. I have no idea what shampoo I have right now. No conditioner or product. I don't even own a blow dryer

  • I have very thick  wavy/straightish hair.  Day 1, I have kinda loose beachy waves, Day 2, it's more straight, Day 3, almost all the way straight.  If I blow dry it, the waves pretty much disappear except one spot in the back. Until my late 20s, my hair was straight, then it started getting wavy, then I had DS and it become more wavy.

I use Dove Nourishing Oil Care Shampoo (with Argon oil) or Head and Shoulders Smooth and Silky as I naturally have kinda dry skin (great for acne, not so great for scalps/skin).

For Conditioner, it depends.  Right now I have the Organix Moroccan Argon Oil Cream but I don't  love it.  I've also used the Dove Nourishing Oil Conditioner, though I don't love the smell and it's also just okay.  I think I like the L'Oreal Total Repair Conditioner the best for my hair, but again the smell isn't great.  The Aussie 3 minute miracle smells great and works really well, but it's too heavy for daily use and I think it rinses out quickly. I change conditioner a lot.

I don't really use many products aside from the occasional hairspray (Pantene that I've had forever) but my stylist just told me about this amazing curl cream and I LOVE it.  You put it on wet hair, bunch up to enhance curl and let it air dry.  It's super easy and works great!  Makes my mild waves come alive!

I also have this One n Only Argon Oil Styling spray that is okay.  I have a friend who swears by it, but it's only okay for my hair.

If I blow dry it, and want it straight, I use the Organix Ever Straight Anti-breakage serum. Keratin https://www.organixhair.com/product/anti-breakage-serum

your hair sounds like mine and I'll have to try those products. My hair is very high maintenance and If I didn't use all these products it would look like a mess. I wish I had straight hair that didn't require all these expensive products.

  • It's straight as a pin. I use Suave most of the time but I just got some Fekkai samples in the latest Birchbox and I'm in love. I might have to splurge on that. The only other product I use is a spritz of Tresseme hair spray to tame the flyaways.
