BOARD QUESTION

in One & Done: Only child
So I have a question for the board. Since we have some regulars that are on the fence. If they decide to go on to have another can't they stay??!!! I realize they may want to go to other boards and that is fine, but I don't want them to feel like they CAN'T POST here.

Thoughts?

    There'll be offence taken on my part but I'm hard to offend :)  In fact, those posts are probably the things that'll make me swing my feet to the other side of the fence every now and again.  Haha.

    I don't care if anyone stays at all, up to them!  But I think it would be strange as we sit here and say how amazing OAD is, the perks of it... when they're sitting there pregnant with another, and we're thinking "so glad that isn't ME!!"  :P   But no, I wouldn't care at all.  There are a lot of working moms on the SAHM board for same reason.

    Totally!  Maybe it would be weird if we do end up having another.  But, for now, I do just have one and totally see the good things/benefits of it.  And I bet I change my mind at least 2 or 3 more times.  Lol.

    When H and I had the big talk a while back, I kept thinking "But I love the OAD board!"  Lol.  I didn't say it out loud to him though - he'd probably think I was nuts.

    Then you obviously need to stay OAD ;) 
    I just wouldn't want someone offended, I guess.  I think you would need to be a person who isn't "sensitive" to post on a board where there are a lot of threads that might gush about one kid and the downsides to another.  Again though, I don't care at all.. as long as the person who is not OAD is comfortable here and not offended when we speak certain things :)
    I'd miss anyone who left!

    This exactly. As long as they dont mind the theme I dont see an issue with it.

    Interesting question.  I'm not sure I could stay if I had a second since I'd probably be in the newborn stage and hating it and thinking you guys are all right! :)

    Agreed with all above. 

    if people start getting offended or whatever, I hope they have the common sense to start looking for another board for support. I mean, that's essentially how I found my way here...

    If I had another I would be so busy on the PPA/PPD board I wouldn't have time to come over here (LOL, kinda).  In all seriousness, though, to each their own, I would hate to lose touch, but like others say, I can see why someone might not want to come back and just stay in touch with those they are close to.
