3 mo old activities while pumping

I pump for 45 min in the am. ( I exclusively pump) My LO gets very bored/fussy at that time. He is a mover! I've tried the bouncy seat (which is old and doesn't have much to entertain him), the play mat, and a swing. Any suggestions on what I can use to entertain him while I pump? TIA!

    Do you have a hands free pumping bra? Perhaps you can prop LO on a boppy in front of you and play with him, sing to him, offer toys, etc.

    Is there any way you can time it for before LO wakes up? I EP too. The morning is my longest session(30-35 min) since I go all night. I get up around 5am for the gym and pump before I go, so that long session is when LO is still sleeping. The other times during the day it takes about 10-15 min to pump and LO is either napping or hanging out in her bouncy chair.

    45 minutes is a really long time. It's not suggested to do it more than 20 minutes at a time. Ouch.

    I don't pump throughout the night so it takes a good 30-35 minutes to empty in the morning. Very annoying!

    Me too! I go all night w/o pumping. LO wakes up a different time everyday

    I read or sing to LO while pumping. He likes books with pictures of baby faces, and songs with hand motions (Itsy Bitsy Spider, Wheels on the Bus, etc.). I only pump for 15 minutes or so though, I'm not sure how I'd entertain him for 30.

    When I was pumping I tried to do the longer sessions during naps.

    I am in the same boat. I second the songs and singing as well as propping him next to you. I try to pump during naps but they haven't been as consistent last 2 weeks.

    Hmm yeah that is tough! It would stress me out to have to pump for that long when LO is awake. What's LO's sleep like? I know you said they wake at different times, but I would try my best to time when when they are sleeping. Like if they've just gone back down. If not, I second the hands free bra and playing next to LO while you pump. Or, what I did with DD1 sometimes was feed her in her bouncy chair while I pumped.

    Try an iPad game, DS loves those. Baby View is his favorite, entertains him for MINUTES straight which is huge in 3-month old land.
