40 bags in 40 days

Has anyone heard of this decluttering/ cleaning tool to use during Lent? The principal is is you pick one small area to declutter per day, and gather bags to throw away and sell.

I just did 1/2 of my kitchen and got 3 bags full...

Woah.

    My cousin posted that she is doing this, but I just don't know how I could get 40 bags of stuff....or have time to declutter every day for 40 days. More power to those that can!

    What a cool idea. I guess if you're worried you won't have 40 bags you could use grocery bags?

    lol that's a joke right? I'm preeeetty sure it's not the actual bags people are worried about, it's having enough stuff to put in the bags to throw away.

    Who said anything about the size of the bags you had to use? A bag is a bag. I don't think there are rulez to decluttering your own house. The way it is worded was off to me, lol

    I think she was trying to say that you can fill smaller bags (ie grocery bags) instead of the giant ones.

    Yep. I figured most people might be picturing garbage bags or something. I was thinking size not type.

    DH got rid of a trash bag full of clothes. Some had not been worn and I had a hard time giving them away. They're not even mine. WTF is my issue? Lol

    Our new house has smaller closets so I need to downsize my wardrobe more. Why is it so hard? Will someone nominate me for What Not to Wear so Stacey and Clinton can prune my closet? I can't do it myself...
