I think it's beautiful! I'm a little biased because Kathryn is both my daughters' middle names, but even before we decided to use it, I've always liked the name. I think it goes nicely with Lillian too.

I also agree that it is classic and beautiful and I hate to sound the least bit critical, but the double -n sound on the end of both KatherINE and LilliaN is throwing me off a bit. I think I like Katherine Lilly better? Just something to think about, but it is a beautiful name.
Can't really go wrong with classic names plus with Katherine you have a lot of nickname options if you wanted. I have a bias against Lillian. I know a lady older than dirt and thus it seems old fashion, but blended with the first name it goes well
I've loved the name Katherine for a long time!! In 5th grade, my teacher brought her daughter to school one day and her name was Katherine. Ever since then I've absolutely loved the name. If dh had approved, I would have named my daughter that. Lillian also sounds wonderful with Katherine. Great choice!
I love both names. Katherine has always been one of my favorites, as PPs have said so classic & a lot that can be done with it in terms of nicknames, if you so choose.
Also, K.Lily would be a pretty awesome future pop star / rapper name ... if you're into that kind of thing, haha.
My name is Emily Kathryn and if we ever have another daughter we decided we will use the name Kathryn. I think it's a great name! What other name are you thinking about???

Katherine Elizabeth was originally my top name choice. Elizabeth is DH's late grandmas name. My grandmother (who raised me) is now very sick in the hospital and we're not sure how much longer she'll be with us. Her name is Lillian. I've never been a huge fan of the name, since it sounds very old fashioned to me, but now under the circumstances I'm really leaning towards it.
The other name we were considering was Julia Katherine. DS has already started referring to the baby as Kate, so looks like this one is probably out.
I love the name Elizabeth....but I completely understand why you are now leaning toward Lillian. Such a hard decision...at least you have it narrowed down to just a couple so even if you don't know before you go into labor you might have that feeling when you see baby. Your problem is that you have chosen great names!
Re: Late in the game...opinions on this girl's name, please
