Updates on LO/Mama: My ankles/feet are swelling by the end of every work day. If I don't come home and put them up, they are still a tiny bit swollen in the morning. I'm going to my OB today for A/S results and plan on asking him about my swelling. Thankfully my blood pressure is still normal.
GTKY: Have you started on a nursery, or started collecting things just for this LO? This is my first, so having the nursery painted this week made me super, super excited. Due to my current situation, I'm not living in the house where the nursery is (moving as soon as LO is born), so I am looking forward to using my spring break to set up as much as I can in the nursery. We are doing a forest theme and have got the crib, bedding, a dresser, swing, and a few decor items
Updates on LO/Mama: So far so good. I'm starting to get a bit tired again earlier in the evening. Baseball season also comes into play at our house. DH plays and coaches so I lose him in the spring so between working full time, being pregnant, and chasing around a toddler, I AM WIPED OUT LOL.
GTKY: Have you started on a nursery, or started collecting things just for this LO? I haven't started a nursery yet, but I have looked at color options and cribs (my parents are buying another convertable cirb for this baby so she has her bed for a long time just like DS). I am reluctant to start a nursey cause we recently put our house up for sale and would like to build a new home in a new and upcoming development. If we wind up selling DH, our son, myself pregnant or with DD will be moving in with my
I am on the lookout for parents for the time while a new house will be built. a double stroller though (found one on Amazon) and little things to get started now while in our home such as a baby book, and when I was pregnant wtih DS we bought this giraffe stuffed animal that made white noise, long story he didn't like the white noise but loves the giraffe, DH and I slept with the giraffe before he was born so it picked up our scents (I totally read that somewhere) and DS LOVES his giraffe, so we want to find something similar for our little girl. I will be on the hunt this weekend looking at things. My family members have already been texting me telling me there is so... much stuff they can buy for girls so I'm sure tehy will all go over board
updates-have been having tingling numbness in my hands, feet, arms, and legs and my BP is slowly going up so that's fun (read as sarcasm on the fun). I get to have a follow up a/s on the 19th so I'm looking forward to that.
DS and LO will be sharing a room, so technically the nursery is done, but I have been collecting clothes since I have no girl stuff and have been eyeing some girly Muslim fabric blankets I will be purchasing. We also will be getting the letters for her name once we have decided on a name.
ETA: forgot about the horrible hip slipping and pain, I had the same issue with DS but it has started much earlier this go around.
GTKY: we haven't started on the physical nursery yet because we are supposed to move. I manage my boss's rentals and in October the until above us (in an old Victorian home) became available. It's the exact same square footage as our place, but is split in to more bedrooms. And the laundry room is not off the front porch - it's inside the house!! But, my boss is super cheap and hasn't found someone to do the repairs as cheaply as he would like. So, ya know, instead of just getting the work done so he has more income coming in, he chooses to do nothing. Awesome.
But, I have fabrics picked out that I need to make sheets and stuff out of. And we have a glider that a friend gave to us. We are waiting to get anything big so we don't have to move it twice.
This week my lil babe is the size of a GRAPEFRUIT!
Updates on LO/Mama:
Last Saturday is when I first felt him from the outside of the belly, and luckily my DH and MIL were there to get in on the action too! I'm okay... starting to lose my balance now, getting full A LOT faster, and its hard to find a comfortable position to sit in. Oh well.
GTKY: Have you started on a nursery, or started collecting things just for this LO?
We'll start painting the nursery at the end of March...medium gray, or bluish gray to go with our Nautical/Pirate themed room. We've have a glider, a dresser, and a crib so far. I've been on Pinterest like crazy the past few days and have found a few signs that I would like to put in his room. Ex: "As soon as we saw you we knew an adventure was about to happen". Ahh! Too Cute!
Hi guys! Happy Ticker Day, ladies! And to all teachers, happy (almost) Spring Break!
So, I'm. 22 weeks: a papaya!
Updates: not much here... Had a great us on Tuesday and little lady is looking good! She's already over a pound! As for me, I'm just tired all the time and still having some major stretching/pulling/pains down low on the sides. Nothing crazy, just a reminder she's in there bc while I've felt her a bit, it def isn't regular yet!
GTKY: just started planning! We are thinking of grey and shades of pink with just a pop of aqua! And I know we are likely going to have a tree decal on one wall with some flowers and an owl. Who knows? With it being Spring Break this next week, I see solidifying plans and shopping in my near future!
Updates on LO/Mama: LO seems to be doing well. He/She is kicking like a crazy baby, but as soon as DH puts his hand on my belly he/she stops. This is very different from DD who would go wild when she heard her Daddy's voice. I'm still tired all the time and having terrible headaches constantly. Some of that is probably related to selling house/ building a new house stress though.
GTKY: Have you started on a nursery, or started collecting things just for this LO? I have a pinterest pin board. In the next few weeks I am going to start ordering things from ETSY or whereever. I'll just have to keep them at my parent's or my IL's house until we move!
Updates:This week we found out that our little guy in fact does NOT have down syndrome! Best news of my life! As for me heartburn has started like an eternal hell fire burning in my chest
Nursery:We haven't really done anything for the nursery yet. Everyhing is picked out and registered for but the room we are going to use for the nursery is being rented by a friend of ours. She moves out next month so it'll get done fairly quickly after that.
Updates on LO/Mama: Had my anatomy scan this afternoon! Everything looks healthy and on track, but the baby wouldn't cooperate for the heart or spine measurements so we are getting a repeat anatomy scan at my 24 week appointment next month. He did quickly flash his goods though, and we got another boy guess (we were told boy at one of those elective ultrasound places at 17 weeks) so I am finally fully convinced that we are having a son!
GTKY: Have you started on a nursery, or started collecting things just for this LO?
We bought the nursery bedding already (mainly so we could pick paint colors for the room)...it's a funky elephant theme, love it! We just bought a house and are currently fixing it up so that we can move in by the end of April, so the nursery is in the process of getting 4 layers of disgusting wallpaper pealed from the walls! Hoping to paint it next weekend!
Updates on LO/Mama: I had my A/S a week ago, but had to go back today to get some ultrasound shots that they couldn't get last time. It was great to see my little guy again. He was moving/ flipping all over the place! DH was able to feel LO's kicks a couple days ago-- now it's all definitely starting to feel real!
GTKY: Have you started on a nursery, or started collecting things just for this LO?
The plan is to have this LO sleep in our room for the first 5-6 months, and in the meantime transition DS1 to a big boy bed/ room. This LO will then get the crib and nursery that DS1 is currently in. We have yet to clear out our current guest room (DS1's future room) and make it child friendly.
Updates on LO/Mama: Little man is doing great. Everything came up normal on his anatomy scan last week. He weighed in at 12 ounces. Mama is growing right on track according to the midwife. I'm having a lot of lower back pain so I have a massage scheduled later this month & I need to go see the chiropractor.
GTKY: Have you started on a nursery, or started collecting things just for this LO? I still have about a dozen paint chops taped to the wall. I should probably pick one. DH moved all the furniture around for me so everything except the crib is in the room now. Mom & I hit up a consignment sale last week & got a bunch of stuff & I bought some adorable cloth diapers off Craigslist. Now I'm just washing everything & putting it away.
