Starting this off again tonight. Small milestone tonight. Got DD down at 1030! Started at 9 with a bath which we have tried this before but it worked tonight! Got a 3 hr stretch

hoping for another 3 after this.

I work my first night shift Monday night 7p to 7a since the beginning of October. I hope this being up half of the night had semi prepared me. I have an appt today to be "cleared" for work at our occupational health

I'm up nursing DD for the first time. Although she slept 5 hours, I didn't go to bed until almost midnight. 2 hours is not enough sleep and I just can't with the complete sentences right now...

Last night seems like a fluke. There has been no sleep tonight and she is fighting me with feedings. Latching, unlatching. Seems to be done so I go to burp her and she cries for more. I still burp her and try to latch her back on, she isn't interested. I put it away she cries and makes faces that she is hungry. I think I passed out for a small amount of time but besides that, we have been playing games since 10pm and I'm very tired.

@sapatel1 glad he's packing on the pounds but I hope you and DS get a little more rest.

DS2 slept from 9:30-2:30! As soon as DS2 was asleep, DS1 woke up. He just needed a quick snuggle before going back to bed. He's been getting up almost every night around the same time for the past week. Not quite sure what's going on. Maybe he's having bad dreams.

Thanks @rojovol34. I swaddle her , she falls asleep, after a few minutes of screaming. I lie down and she starts screaming. We've done this three times tonight. I even tried feeding her a bottle of formula. Went through an ounce but most of it dribbled down her face. She wasn't really eating. I don't know what she is doing!

Dh just took her downstairs after breaking out of the swaddle again and crying so I can get some sleep. Will try it again tomorrow night but for tonight, she will sleep on him while he watches tv until he leaves for work at 6:30.

Up for the third time over here. For the past three nights in a row, DS has regressed to 90 min- 2 hour blocks all night. I hope this is the 6w spurt bsd that it's ending soon because it feels like torture. I would do anything for the 3-4 hour blocks we were getting before.

After being sick and back in our room for a few nights, miss Sophia is back in her own bed. I think we all sleep better that way. She must be feeling better, because she went from three nights of being up every hour to sleeping a good 3 hour stretch.

This mama is exhausted and hopes it continues!

@precious72381 I'm so sorry that you're struggling with this. I can't imagine how tired you must be and it is so awful to not be able to help them. Hang in there mama!

We got a much better sleep tonight thankfully. DDs reflux has been bad and her new medication hasn't started to work just yet so she's been just not her happy little self. I'm sure we are also approaching her next growth spurt too so her "routines" are off.

I also think that she seems to sleep well after a bath but she has sensitive skin developing and can't be bathed every day.

@precious72381 I hope u get some sleep. My LO was doing that today in my left side. Has me all worried about my supply.

Up for the first time here. LO is consistently making it to 4 am. I was nervous cause her schedule was all off yesterday cause my parents were here and she was way overstimulated so conked out at 730 and was still sleeping at 9. My mom thought I was mean do gently waking her (the baby wasn't happy either). But hey if I left her sleeping she'd be up at 12.
We have our 2 month appointment later today so nervous how she'll react to it.

@roses87 -- I hope your first night back to work goes by quickly.

I'm up for bottle #1. He slept for almost 4 hours. Longest ever he's slept. Totally weird and unexpected. He even put himself to sleep in his crib without crying. He wiggled around for a bit and crashed out. Crossing fingers all this means something. I haven't been this tired in ten years since Emma was a baby lol!

We have 4 month appointment with shots tomorrow. Totally looking forward to super fussy baby!

@similie4, good luck at the doctor today! I am not looking forward to the 8 week appointment... I think it might be worse for me, then for DD!

We had a heck of a time getting to sleep tonight, but once she was out, she went for 6 (!) hours.

My AW moment (which after today's UO, I think is okay to share...) I successfully pumped 3 ounces in about an 36 hour period! Given I usually get less than 1 1/2 an ounces total in a day, this was huge! DD had her first boob milk only feed tonight (used it to supplement). Pumped again later, and I seem to be back to my underproducing self... Sigh. We'll take small victories though!

Good luck back to work!

I am up for the first time. DH offered/I begged him to take the first feed at 130. So I should have slept 1030-5 right? Nope.

LO started to stir at 130 so I woke up DH to heat up a bottle. By the time it was ready, he had settled back down. So DH (already grumpy) woke me up to ask what to do. I don't know how long reheated BM is good for so I told him to give it.

After feeding DS and putting him down, DH returns to bed mumbling something or another. Then LO starts to cry. I tell DH his job isn't done til baby is asleep. Angrily, he goes back in to put LO down. DH wakes me again to complain when he gets back.

Really? I know MOTN feeds aren't fun. But this is the 3rd night in 2 months you've had to do anything. Just complete the drill. I almost think he makes such a fuss just to get out of doing it.

End rant.

And I'm still up. LO is super fussy/gassy. and by the time I seemed to get the grassiness calmed down she wants to eat again. I hope I can her back down. I don't want to be running on 5 hours of sleep today. Luckily DH is off of work so if I need a nap I can get one.

Second night in a row that DD went six hours between feedings. Unfortunately my body woke me up at 2am and it took me a little while to fall back asleep. Feeding now and then will pump. She fell asleep easily last night so hoping for the same tonight.

Sorry for all those having rough nights. @precious72381 google Dr. Harvey Karp swaddle. He's the happiest baby on the block author. His swaddle method is really secure. Totally think it's what's helping DD sleep longer. I also nurse her again after swaddling her. She eats a little but it's mostly comfort nursing and she passes out really hard.

@sapatel1 good to see you back and glad to hear your LO is doing better.

@mindybadger1 I will be doing 3 shifts. My first week is Monday and the weekend. So I have a string of days to recover after my first night.

@roses87 I was surprised how physically tired I was after my first couple shifts, And yours are longer than mine! Apparently sitting in an office chair is tough on my back, probably not used to the weight of wearing clothes.

Glad you have built in recovery time.

@rojovol34 - I had a discussion about pumping with my best friend last night. She was mortified to hear I was pumping for 50 minutes.
