So, I've been putting LO down for naps drowsy but awake lately. She'll cry the second I put her down and I go back every 10 minutes to pat her until she falls asleep. But how long do I repeat this method for? 30 minutes? 1 hour? Help!
Was this not discussed a few days ago or in my recent sleep deprivation did I imagine that thread?
In all seriousness OP it is not recommended to start CIO with LO this young. So what you do is pick her up and try again and keep trying until she doesn't cry. OMG 10 minutes must feel like an eternity to her, that breaks my heart.

Whoa whoa here. No need to attack. I may have titled this wrong. My child isn't screaming and I don't just let her cry endlessly. She fusses a little and I go pat her and she fell asleep after 20 minutes. First time I tried it was today cuz doc said to pat her instead of picking her up every time.

I see you went with the classic, but never tiring "No, you just don't understand what I REALLY meant" excuse.
OP, we put Simon down drowsy. If he is just fussing, I will give him 5-10+ mins before I intervene (although realistically he either falls asleep or escalates to crying in that time). If he is actually crying, I give him maybe 1-2 mins before I pick him up to soothe back to the drowsy state (if he is crying hard, I go in right away....if he cries for a few secs and goes back to fussing, I may wait longer). We do this for as long as it takes to get him to sleep, or until its time to eat again. HTH
OP, I highly suggest picking up the book Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child. It'll give you more practical advice on what kind of sleep training is appropriate for a baby this age.
Personally, I don't think 10 minutes of protest crying is too much, depending on your baby's temperament... but I know the general feeling about CIO on this board, so I'm just gonna step away slowly.
TVD and The Originals show are BOTH easy on the eyes in my opinion. I love all the eye candy! Damon is my favorite I have to say though and Klouse is next and so on and so forth

Man, I need to catch up on TVD. I stopped after the fourth episode this season.

Also I need more pics of Ian. Kthanksbye!
