Quick! How long is too long?

Ellie is sick. I took her to the pedi this morning and while the test came back negative, they are treating her for RSV because they think it is the very beginning of it. They also have her a antibiotic to be safe since pretty much anything would land her in the hospital at this point.

Now. Question. She's been asleep for almost 2 hours. Would you wake her up? She had Tylenol about an hour before she fell asleep and she had a bottle as she fell asleep. How long of a nap is too long?

  • I'm really surprised that she's slept this long. Usually she naps for 30-45 mins twice a day and 15-20 mins on the way in the afternoon. Normally when she's sick she doesn't nap well at all. The last few times she's been sick she's just napped for 20 mins once a hour or so all day.

  • When J had RSV, she slept for 2 1/2 hrs when she normally only sleeps 45 mins. I just let her sleep and she woke up happy.
  • She slept for 3 hours, was away for 2 then went back to for 2+.
