Wow - so many BFPs this month! Hoping to be joining that list tomorrow!

Update: Beta is tomorrow. Somehow I have refrained from POAS!! I almost broke down last night - and even wore down DH to go buy preg test with me and that I would take it early this am before he left for work. (He really wants to wait since he worries the test wouldn't be accurate, and we could get our hopes up or be really upset if it were a false positive or negative, respectively). On our way to the CVS I was yo-yoing back and forth and decided that I would hold out - and we went to get dessert instead. Hopefully by this time tomorrow I will know! I haven't been sleeping well and am just so anxious - just need to know one way or the other. (we have a plan - if this is negative, then we will start to explore adoption and concurrently move forward with FET in April or May)

We are currently awaiting the CCS report for our one frosty ninja

Yesterday was CD1, so I'm starting BCPs today until the report comes in. Hopefully our little ninja is normal and we can schedule a FET for the end of March/beginning of April.

QOTD: Aw, man, I am really feeling a ski weekend in Vermont, but considering that logistics and cost are not a factor, I feel like I should dream bigger

Though the idea of skiing all day, and having a little lodge of our own sounds so nice. We'd of course bring the dogs, and get a fire going in the fireplace, and sip hot chocolate while snuggled under blankets. So cozy

Waiting on first ultrasound tomorrow. I have been nervous all week, but today I have a strange sense of calm. I'm giving all the credit to DH who came home last night from his latest business trip. I always sleep better when he's home (though I do love having control of the tv when he's gone!)

QOTD: with all this cold weather and snow I'm tempted to say skiing (another thing lost to cycling this year) but I think I have to go with someplace warm. Beach. Tropical. Ocean. Sand. And some sort of tiki bar for my pale husband to hang out at in the shade.

Hi hearts,
Well I caved and poas yesterday and today, both bfns. I really feel like at 10dp3dt it's accurate. DH is still holding out hope and I am trying to. Beta isn't until Monday. I found out today one of my good friends is pregnant after a few IUIs. It's the whole happy for her sad for me thing. It's just devastating. At least she had the decency to tell me before we got together so I can process it (sob uncontrollably) on my own.

I also caved and POAS this morning. My beta is in two days and I am 9dp5dt so I felt I would at least get something on a FRER. It's a definite BFN. I am absolutely devastated. Trying to get through my day, but it's so hard.

********Warning********

Hi everyone! I hope you are all hanging in there wherever you are in the process. Hugs to all!

So on Tuesday I started to have some bleeding which ended up becoming significant as well as passing some rather large clots. (Gross I know) I ended up in the ER and the doctor there told me that she couldn't say for certain but it looked like a miscarriage was imminent. I just got the call from my nurse who confirmed that my HCG level from today was significantly lower and diagnosed a miscarriage. DH and I are hanging in there but its so hard to be happy that something actually seemed to be working and then have it all crash down around you. IF is just awful!

QOTD: I would love to be able to just get away to anywhere this weekend. Unfortunately I have to work. If I didn't though I would love to go somewhere warm and secluded where no one can bother us. Maybe with a beachfront bar!

As for me, we go in on 3/13 for our first sonogram (or maybe it's an ultrasound?). I put myself on bed rest every time I have a cramp or a twinge. I'm trying not to be a basket case but it's hard!

Not much doing here. I confirmed that my trigger is gone, so I’m waiting to start POAS. I have a ton of the internet strips, so I see no reason not to test. I have a friend coming into town, so at least we’ll have a good distraction for a few days.

QOTD: Kauai. We went there in 2009 and neither of us have been anywhere we liked better. It’s a looooooooooong way away from where we live now, so we’d have to teleport for a weekend.

Breaks my heart to read some of these updates. Add me to the list. Beta is tomorrow and I have been POAS for a week. All BFN's. Don't even want to go to the clinic in the morning. Wish I could just avoid the poke and move on.

ETA: QOTD - I would head on over to the Dominican Republic. DH and I had a destination wedding in the DR and would have been celebrating our anniversary there next weekend. We obviously had to put that trip on hold b/c of IVF

So we POAS, well technically I did, but DH got up at 4 am with me. I thought for sure it would be negative and even though it wasn't I'm still really hesitant about getting excited. (see comment above about IF sucks!!) Blood work is scheduled for this afternoon and Monday afternoon. I won't get my first result back until Monday. I'm still crossing my fingers that everything will be fine.

AFM, I'm 9dp3dt, beta on Monday. I had some terrible cramps this morning at 4AM when I took the puppy out and then just went back to bed bawling until I had to absolutely had to wake up. I hate that my DH works nights right now and he's working all weekend. I'm totally PMS'ing and being such a b* and to top it off, just had some brown spotting. Pretty sure I'll wake up tomorrow with AF. I really really hate that the cramps following an IVF fail are the worst. It's just so unfair. I'm not sure what we would do next.

QOTD: DH and I totally need a vacay together. I have no idea where. I would love to be on safari right now, it's just such a peaceful vacation.

Update: I just got the call from the nurses office - BFN. We are devastated - we really thought it worked this time - esp since I haven't been sleeping well and today I was a little nauseous. Now I realize it is from the anxiety.

Waiting to hear when they can fit us in to see RE for WTF and next steps (FET). The scheduler said the earliest she had was 3/31 - I told them the nurse told me I should be able to get in sooner so they are checking.

@LeggyJeggy - my HPT was still negative at 9dp3dt so hopefully it is still too early & your beta gives you different results.

@Lady2010 - (((hugs))) Try to relax over the weekend & do something nice for yourself. Hopefully you can meet with your RE soon to get started with an FET cycle.

I am so sad to read some of these updates, nutmeg I am so sorry your having to go through this. As for me my last beta today was down to 8 I of course was not surprised I knew it would be barely nothing because all of the symptoms I had are gone. I am rooting for all of you still going strong this month and pray that healing and hope will come to the rest of us. IF is the hardest thing I've ever had to endure and unfortunately its not over yet. I have decided to change my diet and try to get myself as healthy as I can. I'm trying to keep myself busy to keep my mind off of this cycle ending. I wanted to leave this last post just to wish everyone good luck because I am going to take a break from this site as well. Thank you all for your support and babydust to all! P.S. I will be back for another go at this come May, see you all soon!

It sounds like this wasn't the best of weeks for many of us hopeful hearts. I'm so sorry to hear that. We also had a rough week as we found out that FET #1 was unsuccessful. We were out of town at a conference for work, but it didn't make it any less hard. We were also celebrating our 30th birthdays. Very much a roller coaster. (I will admit enjoying a glass of wine was nice.)

I'm hopeful for finding success stories with FET #2 after a failed fresh transfer and then failed FET. They exist... right? Otherwise it's like, "is this even worth it anymore?" (I'm hopeful that doesn't sound too crass, I'm not being the nicest right now.)

QOTD: I would go to a tropical island with a day spa and all of my meals prepared.

@IFinTN, I definitely understand your thinking on doing a lap just to make sure. Before we moved onto IVF, we did a lap to check for endo (doc found the teeniest of spots...) and I asked him to do a hysteroscopy while I was under anesthesia just to make sure everything was ok. I have an arcuate uterus, which was really stressing me out. He ended up doing a partial septoplasty and said he thinks all is well. Now you've got me thinking that I should ask my current RE to double check and make sure things are good before we transfer our precious ninja...

AFM: I had a not so nice dream last night. My grandmother (who IRL struggled with IF in the 1950s for nine years and passed away in 1999) called me on the phone. I was waiting on our CCS results, and she told me that she had the results. She started crying, and I begged her to just say it... I wouldn't believe it until she said it. Then she said, "The results came back abnormally, and you won't be able to transfer your embryo." We cried together on the phone... it was just horrible. I have always thought of my grandmother as my guardian angel, and I'm praying that this dream wasn't her way of breaking the news to us gently.
