  • No I'm FFing. My supply lasted all of 3 days :-/. I didn't gain an ounce when pregnant and now I'm gaining. So weird!! I am eating healthy and walking daily. So I'm going to give WW a shot.
  • okay good! Sorry to hear about the supply issues!! but i was about to give you a lecture on how portion control diets are not a good idea while bfing... haha thank god i waited for your reply or i would have felt like an asshole

I know there are some good groups on FB for recipes for WW. Also ive heard slenderkitchen.com has some good recipes on it!

Your hormones are probably still out of whack!  Just give it some time and im sure you will even out.

There is only one kind of 'diet' that results in you losing weight - that is any diet where you burn more calories than you take in, either by increasing your exercise while eating the same amount of calories or reducing the calories you take in. Regardless of how you reduce calories - portion control or just eating lower calorie things, is irrelevant to the weight loss process. Furthermore, as long as you are not reducing your caloric input drastically, you can lose weight without impacting your supply. I've confirmed this with my doctor and two different LCs.

If you're telling people that any kind of 'portion control' diet will impact their milk supply, that is just plain wrong.

I said they were not a good idea, not that you cant.  PLUSALSO I never said it would effect supply in my statement.

I sense someone is touchy on weight loss programs so i will drop it. DAMN should have actually paid attention to that in the weekend update.
  • Just a few things to add, once you join WW you get access to tons of recipes and the new app is amazing if you do it online. They have plenty of recipes so you'll never run out of options and the points are already figured out for you.

Also, WW accounts for nursing moms so even if OP was nursing it wouldn't be ignored.

FWIW OP, I've been doing WW for 3 weeks and I love it.

  • There are tons online.  Also on pinterest there are tons.  I also made a lemon orzo soup that was one point. I found it on pinterest.

I have been on ww for 4 weeks and have not noticed a difference in supply.

I'm not touchy about weight loss programs I'm touchy about incorrect statements being made in regards to weight loss programs. So maybe I just misunderstood what you said and it wasn't wrong, just unclear. That's fine then I've clarified so let's move on.
