We just made it two hours

on second breast now, hopefully we can make it longer.
For those you had thrush, How did you know? My dd has a little white on tongue but it almost looks like residue and has stated the same over the past week. But i wonder if it could be it? She sees the ped next week. My nips are sore, but they always are with her. Her latch sucks. I feel like I should see the LC but I also feel like they will tell me the same thing as last time and it will get me no where.
We are in the middle of house hunting right now. It's stressful, I know we won't get everything we want. Its hard to pick and choose what's worth having and what you can live without.

Re: MOTN
We're up here. DD went 5 hours. She seems to always do that at first, then do smaller (2-3 hour) chunks after.
Also, whoever recommended the Baby Care app? Thank-you! It is great! No more forgetting when I last fed her, easy to see when, and how long, she's napping... I would now highly recommend it; we'll worth the. $2.99!

I'm an ass! Lots of you were right! I decided tonight to try and swaddle Abby in the Aden and the other A name blanket with her arms in and she slept! On her own! I thought her arms being out were comfortable for her. She likes one fist in her mouth and the other arm up by her head. But guess swaddled is even better. She fell asleep sometime between 10-11 and woke up a little before 1. Well, she more was squirming and making noises but not really awake. Her arms got loose so I fed her , changed her diaper and reswaddled her and now waiting to see if she is really asleep. I'm so excited, I can't sleep. Tomorrow night, I will try her mini crib again since that is a flat surface but for tonight she is in her donut pillow right next to me. Hope tonight wasn't a fluke. Now if she will only get 4-5 hour stretch, I will be an extremely happy mommy!!
So my question is, do you swaddle your LO during naps? I know when bedtime will happen but what do I do during the day? I want to be able to put her down to nap.

Up and pumping. I hate the motn I really want to start having these magical and elusive 4-6 hour stretches I've been reading about.
I am going on night #2 of DS sleeping 90 min to 2 hour increments. A few days ago we had gotten to a few nights in a row of a 4 hour and then 3 hour block. I don't know what happened but this is killing me and I'm not sure how much longer I can keep sleeping in this small increments without losing it.

DS2 really fought going to sleep again tonight. I know he was tired but he would not give in. Even tried putting him in the RNP drowsy but awake. Eventually he slept 10:30-2:50.
During the day I've tried getting DS2 to nap once he's been up for a little over an hour. Just trying to catch him when hes tired but not over tired. Over all that went pretty well and a few times he fell asleep almost instantly.
DH asked if he could help when DS2 cried just now. I said no, I can change his dipe before feeding him, thanks though. So DH rolled over and let out an ear shattering fart. Sigh
My brother is in the hospital so I've been having to help my mom and it is really messing with our routine and giving me anxiety about having DD out so much.
She didn't sleep very well yesterday and hasn't slept her best tonight either. She woke up really fussy at about 11 and ended up pooping all over which seemed to make her feel much better. She slept until 3 after that and I'm now trying to get her back to sleep.
DS went down at around 830 and just woke up at 215! I don't know what to do with myself now that I got 6 hours of sleep. He just ate 3 ounces and is back down.
I went to change him before I fed him and his diaper was dry. Never happens. So I started to get a little worried. But then I realized he ate his last full bottle at 645 and pissed up a storm after that. So I'm sure when we're up again, he'll have a wet diaper.
@roses87 Thrush will be patchy with the surrounding area bright red. It would also be in other areas like the tog of mouth, sides, uvula etc.
DS just slept 6 hrs! 930-330! He stirred at 2, and I thought I got up with him, but I guess I fell back asleep. Trying to not let on to him how excited I am in fear that he won't go back to sleep. But inside I feel like Maria from Sound of Music (not the Carrie Underwood one) spinning in a field singing...only with engorged boobs though. (I would gif but I'm mobile bumping.)
We got a 6.5 hr stretch of sleep. I'll take it!
ETA: The baby care app doesn't know what to do with Tues night's nearly 10 hour sleep stretch. When I put him down at 9ish, it told me he'd sleep till 6:40 this morning. But when he woke up at 3:20am to nurse and went back down at 4am, then it told me that he'd sleep until 1:40pm today, lol. So I'm wondering how well it will work if he continues to have these long stretches that aren't necessarily the same every night.
I've been up pretty much all night with LO. She hasn't sleep for more than half an hour at a time all night. I'm sitting here, rocking her in a dark room, white noise on, while silently crying and begging the gods, for love of all that is holy, to just let her go the fuck to sleep.

Very vety sorry to hear about your mom, my prayers go out to u.
@km_md
Hope your brother gets better!!
First time up and DS is finally back to his long stretches and it only took a hour to put him down to sleep tonight. It's a miracle he went from 845pm-215am. I just wish I could sleep through, ha ha!!! I still wake up like every 2 hours and then I'm checking the monitor to make sure it's on, ha ha!! Hope everyone else has a good night.
Thanks ladies. Sounds like its milk residue then. Which I am happy, I don't want us to have thrush.
@ovenrack I am so sorry to hear about your mom. Prayers to you and your family during this time.
@precious72381 yay!!!! I am so happy for you. Prayers she keeps this up for you!
@tarajeannette my baby I'd the same. Up super late and sleeps in. She sleeps better in the morning than at night. I get longer stretches.

Up for second time here at 2. Not great. Oh well. I think he loosened his swaddle and woke himself the first time. Too strong for his own good.
Ds1 is sick with an ear infection and goopy eyes. Poor thing. I tried to wait it out since stuff is usually viral with kids and now I feel bad that I left it for a few days.
I was carrying LO in the bucket a lot yesterday and clearly overdid it as my muscles are really sore on one side. Wtf? It's been over 5 weeks since my c section! Tired of needing to take it easy.
We went 10-3:45! Night #2! In a row! Was awesome, but I forgot we put a Huggies diaper on tonight at my MILs and just as we started nursing, we had a huge blowout!

Up for the first time here... Almost a 7 hour stretch!!!!!! I slept so hard my hip hurts! Jhoping this is a trend as LO gas had more long stretches this week vs short ones. Could definitely use the sleep to de-stress. My parents are coming down to see us today. They haven't seen her since she was two weeks old.
L slept from 10:00-3:35! We haven't had 5+ hours in a week! Yay! He's extremely squirmy right now though so I'm hoping he relaxes and falls asleep soon after nursing.

@Roses87 I am confused about thrush, too. LO has no spots in his mouth, but the pain and itching I felt in my nipples/breasts was automatically deemed thrush by my LC and OBGyn. I was prescribed APNO and have been using it a day and a half and things are immensely better. LO gets checked Monday so I guess we'll see then?
Also, I am up pumping and the amount I have been getting has drastically changed every night for the past two days. My overproducer was lower, underproducer higher, then they were the same, now back to their respective amounts. Any one else have this happen?
Add: @ovenrack - I am so sorry for everything you are going through. It sounds like you are handling it incredibly well, doing absolutely everything you can for your child and your mom. Thoughts and prayers with you and your family!
Up for the first time, LO went 10-3:30, we are inching our way forward to a 6 hour stretch after being a 2-3 hour(sometimes 1!) hour guy at night. My body doesn't know what to do with this! I go back to work next week so hopefully we can keep it up. He's settling in his crib right now so hopefully another 3-4 hour stretch.

We are up for the first time. Em went down right before midnight but fought sleep until well after 1. She woke up ready to eat the RnP she was sleeping in!! Hoping she goes back down for another few hours. We've been getting a 6-8 hour stretch and then another two hour stretch.
