Ok, so this might actually be spam - sorry. And I usually hate these "vote for my kid!" things. But this little girl has had a rough start, and your vote could help her get a specialized bicycle she can actually ride. Or, vote for one of the other kids if you'd rather! Either way you're helping bring a smile to a kid who really needs it.

This kid may not have a lot of bowel, but he has plenty of guts! 
DS born at 34 weeks with (surprise!) gastroschisis turned short bowel syndrome.
131 days in the NICU, 7 trips to the OR, G-button, daily TPN....
We are impatiently awaiting the day we can say goodbye to his girlfriend Ivy for good.

    Lucas summersaulted forward out of his RNP onto the kitchen floor a few days ago (on DHs watch). It's scary and it sucks, but they're going up get done bumps and bruises from time to time - I'm sure your LO will be just fine.

    All morning DD has been gargling her spit up.  I think she swallows it after.  Does anyone else's LO do this or is mine the only gross one?

    @somerandomchick Haddock was doing that 2 weeks ago and he still does it sometimes.  It was so weird!  The first couple times I was like WTF and then I realized he was doing it on purpose.

    @mimi4347 Thanks for the hugs. I keep telling myself this sort of stuff happens & I'm sure she's fine, just scary.

    @somerandomchick My LO did that a couple months ago & I was SO freaked out & scared, but it was definitely just a new trick she learned. Silly babies.

    I made some pan seared Talapia with seasoned salt for lunch, which normally I love, but I got most of the way through eating it and all of a sudden it was the grossest thing ever. I couldn't eat the last few bites and it still makes me nauseated thinking about it.  :-&

    LO and I both have ear infections. My left, her right. It is my first ever ear infection and all I can say is this shit hurts!! All the sorries for ear infection babies.

    Feeling sick and gross today :( First time I've been legitimately sick since...first trimester? *sigh* Doctor says it could be 1) reflux (never had it before so I have no idea) mixed with period symptoms due to my pills not being strong enough or 2) could be a gall bladder thing or 3) I could be preggo (unlikely).

    So much pain, so much insomnia...so tired.

    I had a migraine yesterday after work, and couldn't safely take care of LO. (throwing up, dizzy, passing out) so my dad came over to help out till DH got home. I woke up to a clean kitchen, clean diapers and a hungry baby. They really tried so I'm not upset about it, but somehow they forgot to feed DS. He only had a 3 oz bottle at bed time. no dinner, no solids. So I was up all night with a hungry baby. At least I was feeling better after my really long nap. Honestly it was probably the longest stretch of sleep I had since DS was born. That part was nice. but who forgets to feed a baby?!?
