Anyone have thoughts on either? We have registered for those, just making sure we made good choices. I thought Graco was a good brand and I liked the seat is only 7.5 lbs, but now reading reviews that the buckle is hard to open on the Classic Connect car seat.
For the high chair - we do have room to use it & store it (i know it's larger than some), I figured it was good bc of the fact it also came w/ booster seat option.
Thanks for any input!
Re: Graco Classic Connect infant seat and/or Graco Blossom Highchair - input wanted!
I'm no help with the high chair since we will be getting a space saver that will also be used as a booster ( Fisher-Price Booster Seat, Blue/Green/Gray by Fisher-Price https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00CSAWIP0/ref=cm_sw_r_udp_awd_DL8ftb1AK5GY0 )
Baby Boy due October 2017
The specific one we got came with the infant insert, and removable strap covers. Have read on Car Seats for the Littles (a Facebook group that has car seat experts, certified technicans & parents) that smaller sized newborns do not fit well in the Snugride 22 (might be labeled as a Snugride without the number), however small infants are fine with the 30 & 35. Something about the lowest strap location.
I chose the 35 because it had the level indicator on the seat (where as on the 30 was on the base - figured if installing without the base, would want to make sure seat is at proper angle). Also liked the base that the 35 came with better because had an nicer knob on its angle adjustor & easier to use belt lock off. Plus the 35 had a nicer location for the rubber grip on the carrying handle (seemed more ergonomic to myself & hubby).
In terms of high chairs, know nothing about them. We have a 2nd hand space saver chair that clips onto a chair. We also got another one that is more of a travel version. Would check the product info &make sure thr tray has at least one removable cover which can go in the dishwasher. You don't neef the high chair for a while though if pregnant now. We started using one after 6 months when we started introducing solids & had LO in a Bumbo chair that was on the floor. Was easy to clean, could be used for other purposes & was 2nd hand as well. A friend had one & would bring hers along wben visiting with her LO. Have herd goid things about the ikea high chairs. What ever chair you get, would look for something that is easy to clean & has wider straps (they seem more secure than the narrow ones).
The SnugRide/Classic Connect (we have the 22 versions ) are lightweight and served their purpose. DS outgrew his at 6 months so we switched him to a convertible at that point since it was easier to carry him or put him in a stroller, since he could sit up.
We loved the Blossom high chair and used all the different configurations. No complaints there and it was easy to clean and remove the padding to wash.
