Introduction and a question

Hi there!  I am new to the site (I used it some when pregnant with my son 4 years ago).  I am due August 27 and live in Maryland.  Just a quick question- anyone else reached a stage where they don't really "feel" pregnant?  My morning sickness is all gone now, still a little tired, a small bump- but other than that- mostly feel normal.  And of course I can't help but feel a little bit worried about this.

  • Hello and welcome! I'm due the same day! Happy 15 weeks! :) Its hard to to look into things to much but I think you are. We are at that point where most symptoms subside. I've only ever had breast tenderness this whole time but some days it comes and goes. But unless you really have a gut feeling something is wrong then don't worry. And even if you do call your doctor for a quick appointment. I'm sure everything is fine :) but you can always call your doctor. congrats! :)

  • Welcome.  I think everyone goes through that stage.  My best advice is try to enjoy it.  I know that's easier said than done.

  • Thanks everyone!  I actually did call my doctors office last week and the nurse I spoke with said she saw no cause for concern and that this was typical- it is just so nice to hear from others in a similar stage!  :-)

  • I feel relatively normal as well, except for my belly...I can't deny the belly.

  • I am in the same boat.  I haven't really had any symptoms the entire pregnancy. Never got sick, no breast soreness.... nada. Thank goodness I am finally starting to get a little tummy, because that's my only evidence that there's actually a kid in there. Compared to some friends who are due around the same time, I just look like I had a big lunch. A month was apparently too long for me to go between appts, because I ended up calling my doctor's office yesterday and running by to quickly listen to heartbeat. I was admittedly just being a paranoid pregnant lady, but they didn't seem to mind (I'm sure they're used to it) and it made me feel SO much better. Sometimes I feel like maybe I'm dreaming and I just need proof!
  • I haven't left random sickness behind yet, and I am starting to feel flutters, but I wanted to say welcome to the board!

The switch is really strange. Enjoy it, you've earned it. If you haven't popped yet you will soon enough. Then there is never a doubt as you get bigger every week.

  • Thanks again everyone.  ginny5683 I am near Ocean City.  Today we had state testing (I am a teacher) and all the walking around my room and standing for 2.5 straight hours made me feel terrible, so I am back there again already!
