Of course two days ago I was letting the dog out when dh announced that lo repeated his name for him. I was bummed but lo said his own name to me last night and my heart melted! I don't know why that was so much more satisfying than other words!
Isn't it the greatest thing? Usually when I ask her to say her name she just points to herself, but two days ago she tried saying her own name, and yeah, so much cooler than any other word. Now you have to video it when you catch it :-)
Mine mispronounces his name, especially when he's talking about himself. He can point at a picture and say his name pretty close to correct, but when he wants to say that he will do something, he has a completely different way of saying his name. It's really cute, I agree!

Man I wish that I could catch half of the stuff he does on video, I always miss it or he does it and the video is blurry or something!

That's why I laugh at most of my videos, you hear her say something once (maybe!) and the rest of it is me saying "say blah, blah...say blah, blah" as I chase her around and she has moved on to running after the dogs or playing in their water.
When I ask Lucas his name he says "me, mine or bebe (baby)" but we do call him baby a lot my three year old who we call Nathan most of the time says "me called NATE" if you ask him his name.
