Hello ladies! Like the title says, I am new to the MFB, but have been a member of the bump since 2010 (I think?). My DH joined the Arkansas Air Guard last summer and since then we've been waiting and waiting for his shipping date for basic. Well 3 different shipping dates later, we finally have our official date, which is April 15th. Not only will he be gone for basic, but directly after graduation, he will be leaving for technical school. In total, he will be gone for 375 days. Although I am lucky to have him only one state away for the entirety of his training, it is still going to be quite the challenge flying solo with a 2yo. I am hoping to find support here and some help along the way from some of you who have been in my situation before.
A little about me: My husband and I got married in 2010 and welcomed our daughter Adalynn in November 2011. We live in Arkansas, although I grew up in California. I am a former hairstylist and now SAHM to our DD and our fat lab Shelby. I love crafting and photography. We spend most of our days hanging at home watching movies and doing what 2 year olds do best, make messes! lol!
I hope to get to know you all and find support and comrade!

Re: New to the Military Families Board, long time bump member
He is at Fort Benning, GA and his AIT will also be in GA. He should come home August 5th, which is our anniversary!
Currently I am trying to make sure he and I get to "see" one another when I go down for his graduation!! LOL
I had a miscarriage in January right before he left. I was devastated. Since he's been gone, I've had a few anxiety attacks and cried a lot. But anxiety is normal for me. I was thinking the other day that maybe it is best I wasn't pregnant while he was gone forso long. I'm not sure how my body would have handled all the stress.
Good luck with everything. I know you can do it! We just wish we didn't have to!!
