Suggestions for baby tracking apps

I was wondering if anyone uses any specific apps to track feedings, diaper changes, etc.
I have been googling but there seem to be quite a few and some of them are quite pricey. I would like one app that could track all the important information.
I already downloaded the free Similac app but am wondering if anyone has any other suggestions.
Thank you!

Re: Suggestions for baby tracking apps

  • One of my husband's coworkers gave him something called an "it's been".  It keeps track of how long since the last feeding, the last diaper change, and I believe also the last nap.  It also has a toggle at the bottom to keep track of which breast you last used, plus a night light.

I'm not one for buying stuff like that, but since it was given to us, who am I to complain?  Just a thought!

If you have an iphone I really recommend iBabyLog.  You can track a TON of things, create charts, set alarms, share data by email (great for emailing to a pedi if you're wondering if something is off), and sync with any other ios device for a live-update tracking of what baby is doing.  It is the best baby app I've found, and its free.

Thanks! I'll definitely look in to that one. I do have an iphone so that could work.

Yes, that seems to be the one that comes up the most often in my search. It seems pretty comprehensive.

I just kept a notepad for a while and wrote down times of feedings/diapers. A few weeks in I realized it was overkill and stopped. This time I won't do it. I bf on demand, and changed diapers when they were dirty. You'll notice when something is 'off'.

I've heard good things about iBaby Log and Baby Connect. I downloaded he Similac one and looks like it will do what I want. The medela one is really similar and so I think it will try the Similac and medela ones in the beginning and see what I like best. :)
Eta: medela one is called iBreastfeed (but tracks bottles as well as diapers etc)
I just opened all the apps again an despite the out of date icon for iBabyLog I will probably use that as it is the most comprehensive, allows me to track things like medicine as well and I can share the info with DH if he downloads the app too. :)
  • BabyConnect. Totally worth the $4 or whatever it costs.

BabyESP. We used this one with DS1. We loved it so much, that I had to wean DH from using it for tracking DS's sleep right before his 2nd birthday, lol.

I loved that I not only had a profile to track DS but I had my own profile to track my meds after delivery. I really liked being able to pull up the app while I was at work and see how DS was eating/sleeping for the day.

We will totally use BabyESP for DS2.

    Eta-misspelled word.

  • I really loved Baby Connect with DD and plan on using it again this time. Well worth the $$ compared to some of the free ones.
