HIMYM

Does anyone else watch?  Last night episode seriously brought me to tears.  I am going to lose it is the mother is dead!  Although it will totally reprieve itself if Robin and Ted still end up together.

Re: HIMYM

  • I love HIMYM!!! I didn't watch last nights episode yet though. I went into an OCD must clean out my vanity and nightstand/purge everything rage instead. I'm home today and will put it on right after my meeting.

I saw something on google a few weeks ago when i was trying to find out when it was coming back on "will the mother die?" She better not freaking die!!

No way for Ted and Robin though. Remember how shocked the kids were when they found out that they hooked up?

  • This is my all time favorite show!  You totally need to watch it.  I have been at work trying to figure out if there are any script leaks!  I NEED to know what happens!

I have always had hope for Ted and Robin but I guess it doesn't make sense.  DH was totally making fun of me getting emotional over the episode last night.  I told him I need to take off of work the day after the series finale because I am going to be a hot mess.

  • anything that might make me get emo I watch the next day when no ones home.

  • I should have but DH likes to watch too...last night was like clock work, the baby was down at 8 and then we turned HIMYM on at 8:05 so we had enough time on the DVR to fast forward the commercials!

  • I need a DVR...

I also wanted to watch the following last night. Damn OCD!

  • I called the mother being dead years ago, they really hinted at it in one previous episode (maybe last years finale) but I didn't know if it was just to throw us off.

The first season of the show was soo good, but it has dragged on too long.
  • I really liked the first couple of seasons.  The show got a bit slow/depressing when Kal Penn was on it, but I really like this season.  I really like the mother!  I am hoping she won't die/be dying but I have to wait and see.  The suspense is killing me!

  • We watch it too, but this session is awful.  It used to be funny, not it's like they are dragging it on.

  • I use to love it but it is so slow.  This is the longest wedding weekend in the history of the entire world.  My DH keeps making fun of me for watching it but I feel like I need to get to the end.  Only 4 more episodes or something like that.  At least I liked last nights episode ok.

  • I didn't really like the drawn out wedding until the past 2-3 episodes.

I totally agree that she can't die. That would make me legitimately sad. Although they seemed to be hinting at it last night.

I live Marshall and lily. They are so funny. Although I do have a thing for Jason segal so that may be part of it.

  • We're a bit behind, but I have been enjoying this season more than last season. I'm loving all the flashback episodes, or "theme" episodes (like when the whole thing was in rhyme because Marvin couldn't sleep). But I haven't enjoyed all the sad episodes. Is supposed to be funny, dammit.

Not listening to anything about mother dying. Can't hear you. Lalalalalalalalalalalala.

  • One thing that has always bugged me about the show is that Marshall and Lily had a baby and then he is almost never there!  Half the time DH and I sit there and watch them at the bar or out and about and all I can think is "where is their kid?".  Totally not real life!  I am lucky to get to the grocery store without Sawyer let alone going out with my friends!

I feel this way about lots of shows. I'm always asking where the kid/baby is. I mean, if you're going to have a show about parents, at least be realistic about what a downer it is for your social life! ;)
    Exactly my point!

But doesn't Lily's dad live with them still? Obviously having a live in babysitter would give you a lot more freedom.
Eh, it's a stupid and convenient way for the shows writers to just not even show Marvin- you just assume he's with the dad.  How many people have a live in babysitter who is always home and available? please.

Even when Marvin's there I feel like there's no interaction, especially this season.
