Restless sleeping

DD sleeps very soundly from about 8pm-2am then from 2-4am she is a fish out of water. I go in and put the paci back in then within 15 20 min she spits it out. This happens multiple times but never is truly awake and it never results in crying. Feeding her seems to wake her up more and if she's not really needing a feeding I don't know what else to think. Wwyd??

Re: Restless sleeping

  • Also she goes back from 4-6:30ish and then gets up for the day at 6:45 or 7

  • If she's not crying have you tried just waiting to see if she will go back to sleep without the paci? I would just leave her be if shes not crying. ..

    Hes our angel... :)

  • Yep. It's like she just isn't comfy in any position , I try not to adjust her position even if she makes it onto her belly. I just give the paci
  • I'd just let her be until she cries for you. I turn the volume all the way off on my monitor or I'd never sleep. My LO let's me know when he wants me.
  • Thanks guys. I definitely need to turn my volume down , it's all the way up and my hubby hates it but I feel like I won't hear her, im just nervous nelly
  • DD does this too. She sleeps until 2 or 3ish then wakes up about every hour until she wakes up for the day. If she not crying I'll leave her alone because a lot of times she will soothe herself.

Also. If it's like 5 /530 and I know she wants to wake up for the day I'll bring her in bed with us and nurse her back to sleep. She'll usually cuddle sleep for another hour.

As PPs have said. Let her soothe herself. Definitely turn your volume down. Maybe if her room is close just keep both bedroom doors open instead of having the monitor on? This is what we do.
