I'm considering trying some new sleeping positions for DS2 to see if I can get him to sleep longer/more comfortably at night. I have his bassinet on an incline by putting a blanket under the mattress at one end. There's no real safe way to just slope the whole bassinet. He usually sleeps 2 hours for his first stretch in the bassinet then 1-1.5 hours (usually 1 hour) for the rest of the night. I'm pretty sure it's the silent reflux waking him because he just wants to nurse a little bit and then he's content and falls back asleep. Even if I fully wake him he won't continue to eat. I would love to be able to get consistent 2 hour stretches (or longer!) since he's 7 weeks.
What does your LO sleep in? I'm wondering if I should buy a RnP or bouncy chair to try him in at night but worry they might just curl him up so he won't sleep well. He's already 13.5 lb and 25 inches long so might be close to outgrowing a RnP?
Re: Reflux Mommas, what does LO sleep in?
P.S. I'm so tired of hearing about the flat head thing. That is a risk for leaving your baby in the same position for prolonged periods in ANYTHING.. Crib, car seat, bassinet, PNP, everything.
Also, the RNP is great for reflux babies (DS2 had it bad.) I think you'll find it's worth its weight in gold.

Mine is borrowed but I'm most likely going to buy my own since the friend who loaned it to me has a nephew on the way who will need it soon and I plan to just go with the RnP from day 1 with future littles.

With other baby gear I would just make sure it doesn't curl then forward too much. I know one of our bouncy seats does (summer infant?). It is okay for short spurts of setting him down but would be problematic for over night.
Dr Sears' website mentions that they can help some reflux babies out. I would be tempted to try if it will help him sleep more than an hour at night.
