My second glass of wine is making me a little sentimental. I MAY have been watching birth videos on YouTube and shedding a few tears (I was sobbing into my wine). The moment I told my husband I was pregnant was one of the best, scariest, most emotional moments of my life. Anyone care to share their story?
MINE:
My boobs had started hurting 3 weeks before and I had started getting dizzy at random moments. It got so bad that I stopped going to the gym when I had been going 3 times a week because any amount of bouncing was excruciating. Two weeks before my middle sister (who had been trying to get pregnant at the same time as me) had called me to tell me that she was pregnant. I was so happy for her, but at the same time so disappointed that my body wasn't doing what I wanted it to.
Fast forward another week and finally taking a test even though I thought it would be a waste (my periods have always been irregular so 4 weeks in-between periods wasn't unusual). Two more tests and I was sitting on the sink in disbelief. I texted my sister because I had to tell SOMEONE and she told me to tell my husband to come home but I didn't because I knew he would be concerned. I ended up telling him to meet me at my parents house where my sister was so we could have dinner. We had been having a really silly fight and I bought a card about "growing" and told him I was sorry and gave it to him the second he got out of the car. He read it, started crying, and picked me up to kiss me. BEST.
OH, I got my ultrasound a week after and I was already 9 weeks pregnant...my sister's daughter is 2 weeks older than my LO!
Okay, yours!

Re: "I'm pregnant..." stories
DH was still in bed as it was Sunday and we were getting up to get ready for church. I went into our bedroom and told him that I was taking a pregnancy test and he kind of looked confused and said, "Why???" "Just for fun, I'm probably getting my period today anyway."
I return to the bathroom fully expecting a negative test and I see two lines. "Um, there are two lines. Uhh there are two lines! What the heck?!?"
We started freaking out because we definitely were not TTC. I peed on a bunch of sticks that day.
Monster Truck (It's a GIRL!) is due 19/02/2015!
However, before we were even engaged we discussed babies and my doctor said I had been on pill so long it could take months to ovulate. I stopped pill and shortly after he proposed. A friend at work was newly pregnant and talking to her I realized I should have had a period. I worked in surgery center so I took test. Ironically moments after it showed positive DH called. I asked if he was set on wedding date because I put on a few pounds and it was his baby's fault. Of course it was because I was on vacation week before eating and drinking junk, but his reaction was priceless. He said, " at least I asked first " I ended up with blighted ovum but still love his reaction.
DD1 - surprise while DH (then bf) and I were in college. I called my room mate first, then DH. He came over and we talked about it and he said he'd support me whatever I chose, but that he'd want to keep the baby. Later that night he came back half drunk with flowers, boy and girl onesies, and 6 more FRERs. DD2 was born 7 months later (early arrival).
BFP2 - I bought sugar daddies and a baby bottle pop and gave them to him on Father's Day. He was so happy...and freaked! We lost the baby 12 weeks in, and it was the second time I ever saw him cry.
DD2 - we'd been trying for 6ish months and I took the test the day before DD1's bday. The second he walked in the door I grabbed his face and told him the news. He started laughing and picked me up in a huge hug. It was like a movie
DS2 was much less dramatic--somehow my cycles regulated after I weaned DS1, and I was actually getting positive OPKs which I had never gotten while trying the first time. We figured since it took us so long the first time, why wait? We tried for three months, and I knew I was pregnant when I was waking up super early for no reason. I POAS on Black Friday and it was a BFP! I wrote out a little note for DH that said "Hi dad! Can't wait to meet you on July 26,2013!" Love, Baby #2!" And left out the test that said "pregnant"--he came home from work early again since it was Black Friday and let him find it on the counter.
And for fun here's a pic of DS1 which is how we told our friends on FB that we were KUed again.
Ds2 was uneventful. We decided to try 3 days in a row, second guessed our decision to have the kids so close, so we stopped and waited. We ended up getting our bfp for my little sweetie. I can't believe we ever second guessed it because they are the perfect ages apart.

The first time, I don't even know if I said "I'm pregnant." I had gotten a call saying, "It's positive, but a low positive" in such an unhopeful tone, I think that's all I said.
W/Penelope, I got the call and listened to whether her voice sounded hopeful or not as she went through the, "Hi, may I speak w/___?" At first I wasn't sure, then I thought it sounded hopeful. She told me I was pregnant, and that not only was it positive, but it was a strong positive.
