Welcome Chloe Amelia!

Chloe Amelia was born 3/3 at 5 pm in Brussels, Belgium! She's just 6 lb 3 oz (2.8kg) but very alert and energetic. Team green turned pink (and everyone thought it was going to be a boy)!

Short story of the birth, hopefully it will help some of you who might be experiencing "false labor" since I went through that as well for several days:
I started with regular, but not painful, contractions last Thursday, went in to the hospital but was sent home; came back in on Friday but they told me to wait until it was "Really Painful".  Luckily, I didn't need to interpret what they meant by "really painful" because my water broke on Sunday (my due date) just before midnight  - my doctor was on a week long ski vacation until Monday morning so little Chloe knew what she was doing by waiting until then!

The labor progressed very slowly during the night without too much pain and in the morning they sped things along with a pitocin drip. We worked through 18 hours of natural labor - thanks to amazing DH and midwives, TENS machine, Ah Ah Ahing to music (I figured out that I was having one contraction per Beatles song, which kept me going for a long time) - I got to 5 cm by 3 pm. Then, with a bath, I very quickly progressed to 8 and almost immediately afterward to 10 cm. I started pushing before the doctor arrived since I was at 10 cm so quickly, but the pushing took a good half hour so he was there for most of it. A couple of stitches on a little tear and I'm feeling great.

We are absolutely in love with our little girl.
