How's everybody doing this week?

I will hit 13 weeks tomorrow and tonight is my LAST DOSE of progesterone -- HOLLA. I am so happy about that! ready to have fewer headaches and not be quite as tired!

Overall feeling pretty good. Still in that "I don't feel pregnant and I don't feel sick" phase that freaks me out. Next docs appt isn't until NEXT Friday. Ready to hear that little heartbeat again!

We told DH's parents over the weekend, which was super fun! I will probably go public at work this week as we are starting strategic planning for fall, and I will need them to be aware that I'll be gone. Another manager on my team is due just a few weeks before me, so that will be interesting.

OH -- I am so excited about two things:

1) my company switched to casual dress code yesterday, effective today. So I am in jeans. SO HAPPY. No more suits and heels!!!

2) Date night planned with DH on Saturday night. We have tickets ot hear a stand up comedian that I like (Bryan Callen), my parents are taking James overnight...

3) (okay I lied there are three) it is supposed to be 27 degrees ABOVE zero today! HEAT WAVE.

I had my OB appt yesterday. My husband was able to go since he's off on Mondays. We got to hear the heartbeat for the first time! So exciting but still doesn't seem real. With having to take care of our little guy I don't feel its set in yet. Well i do feel sick to my stomach all the time which i didnt feel like that at all with our son. Hopefully that means its a girl! We are going to tell his parents on March 11 their birthday present! We are also going to get PR approved next Monday and hoping to buy a house in the next few weeks. :-)

It was hard for me to see this post today and know I'm not part of it anymore. Then I thought, "fuck that. I'm going in anyway." I'm glad I did. All your news made me very happy! I didn't do it last time and we opted out this time, and then my husband piped up with maybe changing his mind. I shut that shit down immediately. Not that I don't think there are a million good reasons to do it, but because of what you described above - the wait time between the blood draw and the results. If they could secretly do it while I was asleep and then give me the results, maybe I'd do it! :-)

@Grace0609, I did MaterniT21 with my pregnancy (I was 41 at conception and 42 at delivery) and everything turned out just fine. I am glad I did the testing, and they were also able to tell me the sex of the baby. Fingers crossed that all is well with your pregnancy and baby. The odds are still very much in your favor.

So I think I have sciatica and it is terrible!!!! I've been having lower back pain for a little over two weeks. It gets better then worse then better but never goes away. I had my OB appointment last week and cried when she said she thought it is sciatic nerve pain and won't go away until after baby is born. Some days it is so bad I can barely walk and sleeping is a challenge as it's hard to get comfortable.

I'm trying to stay positive; I have a referral for PT so I'm hoping that brings some relief. But this SUCKS. I am having a hard time thinking I'll be this incapacitated and in pain for about 14 more weeks.

I did not have this with my first two pregnancies and was able to be relatively active right up until the end. Anyone have any experience or strategies to deal with this?

Icy hot and the heating pad helped...although I only used the Icy Hot at night since it made me smell like an 80 year old man.

I can't believe I am about to say this, because I've always been a hater, but have you ever been to a chiropractor? I never had, and then I had this horrible neck pain earlier this month, and the chiro "fixed" me in like 15 minutes and just one appt.

Otherwise, a really good massage therapist will be able to help work out the sciatica a bit.

Hey ladies. I am about to hit 26 weeks on friday (almost 3 trimester) which to me is crazy as I feel like this pregnancy has gone by so fast! I have been feeling better with the sciatica pain but insomnia is kicking. Not sure if I just feel worse because im pregnant but I still get up a bunch to check on Anya, which is a habit but I dont think I'll ever break that one. I just had my GD test and I am waiting for my results. I got back March 26 for my appointment and then I will be at every 2 weeks. This pregnancy is flying but its probably because I have my princess to watch after and run after! Hope everyone is doing good and FX for all those who had appointments or waiting for results!

@anniejar I had sciatica with my last pregnancy and found that yoga and stretching helped a lot. I personally wouldn't use Icy Hot, but my prenatal yoga instructor introduced me to this cream called Traumell and it worked great.
