Labeling shoes for daycare

What are some of the best methods for labeling shoes that get used in daycare, without trying to permanently ruin them?

I'm looking for labels also, but for clothes. I saw these for shoes but I wrote DS's name on a piece of masking tape and put it inside his shoes where his heel goes. It's been there for months and hasn't come off yet.

I bought Mabel's Label's a couple years ago when DS was in daycare - it was a set that had labels that could be used on multiple things including specific ones for shoes, and they are great. DS has had them in multiple shoes since then and they never wear or come off (it's basically a round sticker with their name, stuck on the inside sole of the shoe.

Love our name bubbles labels - we used our last name & use them for both kids.

we use mabels labels for everything..although I don't label her shoes because they're always on her typically. But..we also goto a smaller center where there's only 5 kids in her class..so theyre good with clothes and shoes.
