Vacationing in Boston/Cape Cod with LOs

Hi, Ladies! I will be traveling to Boston and Cape Cod this summer with a almost 5 yr old and a 1 1/2 yr old. My aunt has a house on the Cape, so I'm looking for a reputable rental agency to rent a full-size crib. I will also need some place to rent a double stroller that I can pick up near Logan and return to the same store or have them pick up from the hotel in Boston. I'm also looking for suggestions for your must sees for kids in Boston. We will be in Boston the 6th-8th of July- recs for family-friendly restaurants would be appreciated. We will be staying near the Aquarium/Fenway area.

  • The Aquarium, The Children's Museum and The Science Museum are great. There's also a Curious George store in Cambridge (I think)

  • The Aquarium and Fenway aren't that close to each other. The Aquarium is close to the North End, which has a lot of kid friendly Italian restaurants. It's also close to Quincy Market/Faneuil Hall - shopping & food. If you are staying closer to the Aquarium you can also walk over the bridge to Charlestown - lots of parks, USS Constitution. There is a carousel near the Aquarium and a little splash area where the water shoots up from the ground. Kids jump around in it.

Fenway is closer to Back Bay - Boylston (Prudential Center/Copley shopping & food) & Newbury St (high end shopping/nice restaurants).

If I had to pick, I'd stay closer to the Aquarium because it's easier to get to Children's Museum & MOS.  You can even walk to MOS if it's not too hot. It's not a short walk, but it's doable with a good stroller. Taking walks along the Charles River is nice too. Plus, there is a good playground and splash area. The Children's Museum is in South Boston which also has nice restaurants now.

You really can't go wrong. I love Boston!
