Brother vent

My brother lives with us, he's been really great with J, but he has been making little comments about how I'm raising her and the things I do with her. It's been driving me crazy. When she's crying, I'll pick her up and hell say something like she needs to cry or she's just BSing you so you'll pick her up. I usually shrug it off, but today, it's getting to me. She was standing up with her toy table thing and fell backward before I could grab her. She got her head, cried for a min, then went back to playing happily. My brother made some stupid comment like well if your mom was watching you better you wouldn't fall. Later on, she was playing with one of her push toys and fell down again. My brothers comment was I'm sorry you're probably gonna die since your mom isn't watching you. I finally broke down. I know she's gonna fall, especially with her moving and pulling up on everything now and I'm trying to catch her so she doesn't hit herself, but his comments aren't making things better, especially when he says things about her dying cause I'm not watching her. When I told him it's bothering me or to stop, he gets all defensive and says he's just playing. DH said he'll talk to him tonight about it, so we'll see how that goes over. Thanks for letting me vent

Im sure he doesnt mean it. (at least I hope). However, He needs to stop. Kids falls, It happens, it doesnt mean you're a bad parent! He's a douchecanoe, ignore him. You're doing a great!

I get that he's protective, which is great, but it's like seriously? Enough with the damn comments, I'm her mom, I'm already paranoid about her moving, she's not going to die by falling, I'm tired of it. DH texted me and said he asked my bro if he was an idiot and that he needed to lay off. Hopefully things will get better, thanks ladies
