Trying to find the 'one'

Which name do you like the best? I want a "manly" name that also sounds like a southern gentleman in some ways. Which is your fav and least fav?

Harrison
Graham
Jacob
Everett
Samuel
Van
Easton

Any other suggestions?

I like Graham the most. Dislike Easton the most, I don't get the point of directional names.

I like PP's suggestion of Vaughn

    Beauregard/Beau
    Reginald/Reggie
    Harlan

I'd also consult your family tree for potential surnames to use for FNs if you want a Southern feel.

    I'll also suggest Rhett.

    Harrison - love
    Graham - love
Jacob - love, but super popular, don't know if that matters to you
    Everett - love
    Samuel - love
    Van - not my style
    Easton - not my style

I think I'll vote for Graham, second place to Harrison, third place to Everett.

My favorite is Graham, it is our boy name. Least favorite is Van, I don't understand it as a name.

Can't go wrong with Samuel. No one will wonder how to spell it. Every Sam I've ever met has been a great guy.

Oh, and OP: I think all your names are ok. My least favorite is Everett. That's the only one I really don't care for. The rest are ok, just NMS. I can't really give an unbiased opinion on Van because it's so normal to me. My favorite out of your list would be Jacob.

    EDIT: spelling

This.  I think using family surnames as first names, rather than the same surnames as FNs that are trendy all over the country, is distinctively Southern.

Vance sounds more Southern to me than Van (Zebulon Vance).

::putting down my mint julep and chicken biscuits::

As someone who lives in the great State of North Carolina, I like Graham, Everett NN Rhett and Harrison best. I know an adorable little Easton so that is totally ok with me. Samuel and Jacob don't have the southern feel to me. Suggestions of the southern names I know or have met

    Reed (DS)
    Heath
    Charles
    Banks
    Chase
    Lucas
    Montgomery
    Miles
    Emory
    Lance
    Davis
    Blake
    Russell

ETA: Iwouldn't use PPs suggestion of Grant. Brings to mind the general who "thinks" he won that war for some folks down here (not for me because I'm from NY and have read a history text book)
