Thought this might fit best on this board. Please let me know if this question does not belong here.
Anyone have experience with encapsulating their own placenta? None of the ladies that do it locally have contacted me back and it seems they are all booked up. If anyone has done this themselves, do you have any tips or tricks? Any equipment or supplies that are a must or that yields best results? TIA, mommies!!!

Re: Encapsulating your own placenta
Here is a site you may find useful if you do it yourself. It has pictures along with the steps.

Filling the capsules is time consuming and messy. I almost think it's easier to get it down into powder form and then add the powder to food you eat, like a smoothie or whatever. You can't really taste it that way and it saves a lot of time.
I'm an encapsulator and did my own after the birth of my 2nd son. It's totally doable if you choose to go that route. A capsule filling machine makes it much faster but is not necessary if you don't want to spend the extra $15-20.
If you want I can ask if anyone in your area is available in some of the placenta encapsulator groups on FB that I belong to?
