NBR early fffc-looking for advice.

So I haven't waxed or plucked my eye brown aside from my unibrow since a week before Finn was born so about 12/14. They are pretty ridiculous but the last time I had them done she kind of f'd them up. So I was letting them grow out in hopes of getting them reshaped. Now my question is for all you professional would you suggest waxing, or threading? Which Ive never done but always wanted to try. TIA!

I didn't like getting them threaded. It hurt like a bitch and cost more than waxing does!! I've never had a bad experience waxing though, I have been getting mine waxed by the same person for 10 years. I personally didn't see any difference good or bad in the shape of my eyebrows from threading!

I hate threading. I didn't love the results and I swear there were a few times she almost ripped my lashes out - I'm sure if I had gone to a better lady, I may have like it more. I've always liked waxing - great results and stayed clean longer.

I prefer threading -- the pain level for me was the same as waxing and they came out looking neater.

I tend to think threading leaves a cleaner look.

My waxer spends a lot of time getting a super clean look, so I would say waxing, but a bad waxer is horrible...so make sure you're going to someone good no matter what.

I'm super sensitive to brow waxing and always have red marks for hours after. Threading is much less painful and less irritating for me.

I actually wax mine myself. I got them waxed once, went fine, but the $8 tub of "no strips needed" Sally Hansen facial wax lasts for months and I did just a good a job as a professional. I'll be doing it tonight or tomorrow, I have tiny little forests growing.

@superspecialsnowflake I paid $15 for threading and I pay $7 for waxing.. Is that super cheap?! Like I said, I've gone to the same person for forever so I don't know how much waxing generally costs!

I'm getting sugared tomorrow. I'm a wimp when it comes to waxing and sugaring hurts less and doesn't irritate my skin.

I'm a waxer and I prefer that also for my own eyebrows. $7 is pretty cheap for waxing, we charge $15, unless were running a sale, then it's $10. And for anyone who it irritates badly, I always suggesting trying it with hard wax, it is less irritating.

I think it depends on the person doing them. I wax clients all day long so I just do my own at the end of the day. I have had them threaded also and was super happy with the result.

I tried threading once. Maybe I'm a wuss or maybe I just happened to sit in the chair of an extremely disgruntled person. It hurt so bad. When tears involuntarily started streaming from my eyes she called me a baby! Lol I prefer waxing. But you would not know it by the looks of my unibrow :-)

Maybe it was just the woman I saw but dont they put the thread in their mouth? Yuck! I get mine waxed and it's only 8$ at the nail salons around here. Hair salons/spas cost more. I cant wax my own they end up funky.

I have sensitive skin so waxing always gave me red marks/even tore off skin a few times so I get them threaded! I feel like it lasts longer and she does a great job shaping them. It costs $10-$15 for it.

It really does depend on the esthetician's skill. I've had excellent threading and then one lady who was slow (so painful).

My favorite was a little tiny one room "spa" where I got to lay on the facial table and she used the magnifying light to wax/pluck. I wish I could find something similar where I live now.

I am a threading convert. I used to get my eyebrows waxed but then a friend who got her brows threaded convinced me to try it. I find it is much more precise and my brows look so much cleaner. I'm just sad I dont work in the city anymore...there is a place neat my old office that does it for $6 and they are fantastic. I've been doing it for the past 5 or so years...will never go back to waxing!

ETA: it hurts more at first, but after you do it a bunch of times it is less painful than waxing IMO.
