July 2013 Moms

Let there be...

Poop! Had to give LO a liquid suppository today due to no bowel movements in over a week and struggling yesterday and today with no result. I had tried prunes, bicycle legs, stomach massage. I was so nervous to do it but it worked within 5 minutes. Poor guy cried while getting it all out, which led to me crying. I don't know how you mommas with LOs with continued health problems do it. Major props to you. Watching him struggle so much in those few minutes broke my heart. But, after poop watch over the last several days, we can all finally relax!

Re: Let there be...

  • I had to give LO a suppository last Thursday. Worked quickly but still having issues. Crying while going today, it was heartbreaking. Hugs

Sorry to hear that your still having issues! Hope LO clears out soon!

  • Sorry, mamas :( We had trouble last week and it was soo difficult to see her writhing in pain trying to pass her gas and poops.

Pear puree has cleaned the pipes for us, and in a BIG way.
  • I tried pears too. Didn't help us get things going but the pedi said it was because he was already too backed up for the helpful foods to make a difference :(( But it's a good preventative so we'll be giving it more often!

Poor baby. I'm glad he got it out and has some relief now.

FFTC: Although I don't want to be in your shoes, something tells me I'd be strangely curious to see what all comes out.

It was interesting. I actually thought there would be more! But let's just say what did come out would probably have made me cry, too! (TMI?!) It was large for such a little human!
  • DD filled her diaper, front to back (not an exaggeration) with poop today.  We were going on day 5 of no poop. Yuck!!!
After 4.5 years our miracle IVF baby is here!

I would have been so excited if LO had done this on his own! You know you've become a parent when you're excited when your kid poops!

  • Glad he's feeling better :)

This is so true. All the times in felt frustrated at blowouts and suddenly I'm hoping for them.

Also, it's weird to have a poop thread without @mimi4347 ;)
