Painful Nips

Owww! Between the scratching/pinching hands and whatever is going on with my nips, nursing sucks again.

Riley has no teeth but my nipples hurt like hell. I don't think it's thrush. Any other ideas? Or is this normal as the teeth come in but are still under the gums?

    AF returning? Nursing hurt like hell again when it came back for me. That was 3 months ago, nipple soreness was better last month.

    Isn't it a bitch how AF returns, babies grow teeth and start biting or clenching their gums all around the same time?

    I have this "all purpose nipple ointment" my LC recommended and my OB prescribed. It solves everything: itchy nipples, sore nipples, dry nipples... I love it! I can get you more information from the label if you are interested. I had some special compounding pharmacy whip me up a batch. Oh, and you don't have to wash it off before nursing: double win!

    T doesn't have teeth yet but her gums are really strong. They hurt.

    Yes. Every time Lilly is about to cut a new tooth we have another round of tender nips. I think it's because she's so uncomfortable that she's rougher.

    I've used that before! So I could use that for even just sore nips? Oddly enough I have a compounding pharmacy next door to our condo.

    For reals, we finally DTD for the first time since Jan yesterday. But I also had a sono scan for my cysts two weeks ago, so not KU!

    In our house we call them Queen La Teethas or Teethe Sutherlands. Despite our bad puns, no La Teethas yet!

    Ugh, yes. Lyra decided to get her TOP teeth first, so now her latch is really weird and painful, and I've had to go back to latching her on like she's a newborn (it does help a little). But it definitely does seem to be worst right before the teeth come in, and better once they're out for some reason.

    I would be all for moar babies. Just not right now. Today I "worked" from home, watched Riley and cleaned the house for an open house at 6pm. Fucking shoot me now.

    Dude. Today I have had my throat squeezed, my cheek scratched, my nipple grabbed, clocked with her head, kicked in the face AND throat, had my nipple pulled to Siberia and back. Fuuccckkkkk nursing today yo!

    And yeah, I didn't plan to work from home without child care. DC was closed for snow and DH had important face to face meetings.
