DD is 10.5 months old and started refusing bottles last week. She was BF until 8 months when I found out I was pregnant & my supply dried up. She tolerated formula but as of last week she refuses bottles (with anything in them) and formula out of a sippy cup. She refused goat's milk and because she's only 10.5 months old & I'm lactose intolerant I'm trying to avoid cow's milk at least until she's 12 months or all together if possible. We finally tried almond milk and she loves it. Drank 2 full cups of it Sat & Sun and had some this morning with breakfast. DD was actually drinking it today when I left daycare and her teacher was fine with it. 20 minutes later I got a call saying that I can't send in almond milk and they won't even let her have it today. Apparently the center is not just peanut free but completely nut free. Number one, I'm generally annoyed that they are going to let DD go without milk today. Kids are only allowed to have milk at the table strapped into their own seats so I don't see how any other kids could get her almond milk. Number two, any suggestions on what else I can give her? DD does well with finger foods but she only has 2 teeth. Thanks
Re: DC Issue with Almond Milk
@PrivacyWanted - I know I can get coconut milk but I don't think any local grocery stores carry hemp or flax (maybe Whole Foods?) Do you know which of those is considered the best alternative
and I do kinda need to give the side-eye to someone who asks an internet board rather than their pediatrician for recommendations.
