With my other 4 pregnancies (besides the 2 miscarriages), I did not have spotting except a couple times after sex. So far this pregnancy, I've had spotting twice, and it wasn't after doing the deed. This last time it lasted 2 days, never any cramping or clots, just light spotting.  I've had my ultrasound and everything looked good, Dr told me there less than a 5% risk of m/c after a good ultrasound, but man, it freaks me out. If it happened after I dtd or something, I would at least have a reason. Has anyone else had spotting and baby has been totally fine?

    Yes and only with this pg never with my earlier ones.  I had spotting/ very light pinkish brown for about two days early on (sorry don't remember exactly when).  There are so many reasons for spotting but of course it is scary to see!  Take it easy on yourself mentally and physically and ts and ps for you that all is well- Most likely it is!

    I had pinkish/brown spotting which seemed to go on forever - it probably lasted a month or so when I was around 8 weeks, I think. I certainly didn't have anything like that on my two previous pg's but that was 16 and 21 years ago. I was checked out, everything was fine although I was totally convinced I was losing the baby despite the OB and midwife telling me it's very normal. Thankfully, I didn't and it just suddenly stopped on it's own. I know it's really hard but try not to freak yourself out over it. I was told to drink lots of water which made no sense to me, but I must admit the spotting did ease off when I did drink a lot of water. Might be worth a try?

    Hey, drinking more water can't hurt :) And you know, it's been on the weekend when I'm at home that I'm bad at getting enough water. At work, I bet I drink 10 or more glasses! Thanks for posting that :)

    I did have fairly heavy spotting around 7 weeks with my first pregnancy. Lasted a couple of days. She's now a healthy 12 yo girl!
