I just watched the last episode of HIMYM and I'm in massive tears. Is he really telling his kids this story because their mom has died?!?!?! That scene with the comment "who misses their daughter's wedding" and then their silence... Seriously?!?!
Yeah I caught that, too. If that's the case, I'm going to be super pissed! I was hoping it was her mom that didn't make it to their wedding... guess we'll find out...
Ugh I'm going to be soooooo depressed if that's the ending!!! But I totally thought that that's what them tearing up meant and she kept saying stuff about the future and Ted's expression was really sad...I kept thinking back to his speech about "having 45 more days with her" back in season 7 I think? I wonder if that's because she dies....ughhhhh I wanna cry

wait is that when they were at dinner and they looked at eachother and teared up? this was the final episode!?!?!!?!??!?!?!!?!? I HAD NO IDEA.
Oh man, I didn't think too much about it. That would be terrible!
This was me too.
I took it as maybe her mom missed their wedding or something. I didn't take it as she misses their daughters wedding as they wouldn't know that yet. At least, they didn't look like they were old enough at that point to know it.
No no no, the finale is March 31st...calm down ladies lol....and I thought that reaction was weird but I didn't think too much into it. I hope she's not dead/dying!

Yea no it's not the last episode, thank goodness!! But they keep dropping hints about not living in the past (ie in his stories of meeting the mother) and moving forward and that's when Ted was all teary eyed because perhaps she's sick and dying and there is no future that includes her...some theories say she might just need a risky surgery and she's not necessarily dying...but I'm not a fan of this whole sick/dying thing either way...can poor Ted just live happily ever after??! He's waited for her for 10 years!!!
And I agree that I don't like how this entire season has been leading up to the wedding, a lot of it has been filler episodes
This season has been a labor for us too. We are just watching it so we can know how it ends. I took that conversation about the mom and wedding as she was sick as well. It will be a bummer to end this series on such a sad note.
